Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe decor was very dated and the furniture mismatched and shabby. The bathroom had no window, poor ventilation and inadequate flooring. Everywhere you look there's a bodged repair or an untidy make-do. Seriously could have been unchanged since the 1970s. A whole extra bed was just propped up on its end in the corner. Not a safe place for young children or people with visual or physical disabilities.
The location is great, close to the train station, town centre and the mall. The room was spacious if sparsely furnished and rather tired. It was not expensive but you wouldn't want to spend long there. Probably clean, but the state of decoration is so bad it's hard to tell.

United StatesNo toilet in the room-I found that odd. It was fine. We made it work. There was a shower and sink for getting ready in the morning.
The location to the train station. Bed was comfy.

Helpful and friedly host. The Bodenseecard included. Perfect location. A little bit run down. Very basic (no boiler, iron board, hair dryer etc). Would stay again even if a bit expensive but the location compensates that. Good WiFi ((first floor).

SwitzerlandMy single room was next of the bathroom and WC. I woke up several times during the night because of door voices. Please consider that there is no elevator in the building.
The location is super central. If you're looking for only sleep in very central place, it's very clean and cheap option. Do not expect too much.

TaiwanThe sound insulation is extremely poor The sound of talking in the next room, snoring 💤 Sound, there was a loud farting sound, as well as the sound of flushing water. Sincerely, I can hear it clearly. The first floor is the restaurant, and the guests' eloquent voices are undoubtedly clearly audible, Because the house price is not low, it's a bit disappointing not to have breakfast 😂 The bed is too small. I am 162cm tall Weight 48Kg I'm not even comfortable flipping over. If it's a large size, it's definitely not suitable for living, I think this price should allow me to stay in a better hotel! It's on the second floor, there's no elevator, carry the luggage on your own 🤣
It's only 2 minutes from the station

ColombiaEven though it is the cheapest option in Konstanz, I still think it is overpriced considering that shower and toilets are shared, the rooms are quite small (at least mine was very very small) and the walls are way too thin so you can hear noise from other rooms easily.
The location is really good and my one interaction is the staff was friendly and helpful.

The Pension Graf is located in the centre of Konstanz and a step away from the largest shopping centre LAGO & a couple of minutes walk to the Central railway station. It is a house with history of the Günther family and the owner Andreas Günther was a very helpful & sociable person. He has different types of maps inside the house for tourists to use, which was super handy when my navigator stopped working in the Swiss part of the city. It’s a super place to stay & spend you time for a couple of days

GermanyThe hotel is extremely overpriced in booking! The prices at the property itself are half of the booking price now out of the season. We moved out and stayed at a much better hotel for less the price in Konstanz. The room was very cold, no way to heat it, some things were not functioning. All of the towels were old, but one had huge holes in it!!! A very bad hotel. Go there ONLY if you are looking for something cheap, and do not book it through booking, because here it is two times as expensive.

SpainNo toilet available; shared one for at least three floors. There was no one to find; i did a lousy online check in. The toilet on the floor was broken for the whole stay; the other one available was always filthy. Worst part is it was super expensive. I think you should find somewhere else to stay...

CanadaPlumbing problems: no toilet or shower on our floor so we had to go down to the next floor…meaning 1 toilet for many people (and still no handwashing facilities there either). Many people smoking on second floor and the smell drifted upwards. Much of the time, there was no staff on the property to answer any questions e.g. we needed help with booking a taxi.
Great location; excellent worker in Amphai (she was very helpful)
