We love this place and stay regularly. Very French - you won’t find better in France 😉 Impressive rooms with beautiful old furniture and wooden floors. Welcome complimentary house wine. Apero/coffee and dinner in the bistro is a must as well. Great breakfast served at the table.

At some point, to see decor, posters and art in other floors, I tried to use the stairs but could not find them. Thought this was curious, but I am sure Bavarian fireguard engineers know what they are doing.

A charming hotel with a French-leaning flair, with art, posters, and decorations (photo) in the style of a French bistrot parachuted in the center of a ancient Bavarian town. The restaurant is also a mix of French and Bavarian style and decor, and food is very good, for decent prices (photo). Breakfast was included, served at the table, with a vast palette of choices (photo). My room was large, with a curtain bed, and aging but charming chair and settee (photo from a collection in the lobby). Location is excellent, smack in the center of Regensburg, 4 mins from the Danube stone bridge as well as from the Dome, and even closer to the Rathaus (photo). A pleasant stay and high quality/price ratio.

the power points were on floor level which made it more difficult to use by people who are not so fit

Location good but did not realise there were 3 Hotel Orphee s but fortunately we found the right one. Google maps became confusing though until we realised there were three.

Unique, charming hotel with excellent - and popular - restaurant/

We stayed 3 nights, but the first night had no heating. They were fully booked so they couldn't change the room. That's understandable because it was the first Saturday of November. But my travel companion is handicapped so he had severe pain in his legs. Shower is not comfortable for a handicapped but it was fine for me. Also, they have no safety box and fridge in the rooms. If you need to store medicines cold, that's a problem.

The first room was freezing cold but they provided a little fun heater and changed the room to a better one next day. Bigger and warmer. The staff are very kind and attentive. The building is old but it is set up easily for handicapped people with small ramps and elevator. Breakfast is very delicious, don't miss croissants. But dinner time is very busy even on Monday night. Better make a reservation. The location is excellent. Easy to access most sightseeing spots.

Fantastic location, so central to everything. Great breakfast. We ate in their restaurant the night before as it was my husbands birthday and they brought a surprise out for him which he wasn't expecting with a glass of prosecco each.
