How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing really.
I read some negative remarks and yes, the place does look a bit old-fashioned, but I kind of liked the charm of it. We had a good night sleep, a warm shower and a decent breakfast. What more could you ask for when you're only staying a single night?

Outdated, carpeting in the room. Although it was a large room, no (mini) fridge. Rather stuffy smell.
Very kind staff, good breakfast, lots of restaurants in the area. Excellent large bed! Good place to stay while travelling through.

room itself was very worn down. Several things were broken, and the overall cleanliness was disappointing. There was dust and dirt everywhere, spider webs in the corners, and even mold near the shower area.
Hotel Nordic offers good prices, and the beds were actually quite comfortable. It was also nice to have a fan in the room, which is essential during the summer months.

The toilet was squished into a corner which made it an uncomfortable sit. But every room is different, as it's an older style hotel.
The mattress was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. A good hotel if you just need to stay overnight on the way, while travelling. We easily found a spot to park, and were able to get in with a code to get our key card.

Small parking spot and many people smoking right outside the entrance in the morning.
Great to have 4 proper beds for the whole family in one room. Friendly staff and good location with lots of food options.

Although basic, there were some things that could be refurbished in the room. And the pillows were quite bad.
The Room was very spacious for 4. Basic accommodation but clean. Restaurants and supermarket in the close vicinity

My room was on a base floor with associated smell of a basement in the room. In addition, the toilet was dirty and I would say generally that the hotel have seen better times.
Small and cozy hotel. I also enjoyed the breakfast 🙂

The only thing that I would suggest is provide tea and coffee facilities in the room instead of providing it at the reception. The water from the flask does not stay hot. Also, on our last day, there was no hot water as they were working on their plumbing. Aside from that our stay was wonderful and comfortable.
The hotel was very close to shops, restaurants, take aways and ice cream shop. It is also walking distance to the bus and train station for tourists and locals to travel to Hamburg City. ( The train is very reliable and on time ) all the time. The hotel staff were lovely people. They are very welcoming and accommodatingThe lady at the reception let us even borrow an adapter. Navi was also nice . Checking in and out was easy. The place was clean.

I ordered a room with 3 single beds. It turned out that one of the beds was a sofa bed that had been set up for the night. I normally try to avoid these, as they are not as comfortable to sleep in as proper beds. Unfortunately, this was not mentioned correctly in the description from the hotel.
Quiet area of town, easy to park close to hotel, nice breakfast (although not as extensive as I remember it in the past), huge bathroom.

Although it's a little outside of Hamburg city centre, it is still easy to travel around by bus and other public transport.

Outdated furniture, distance from metro station (15 min walk). Hospitality could be improved but it was a standard german customer care experience.
Very quiet place. Excellent communication with hotel + possibility for self check in case arriving past check-in hours. I needed to stay in the Norderstedt area so for me it was a convenient location.
