How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It was very hot in the new wooden rooms and the doors of the other hotel rooms were loud
It s in a nice little town near The Main there were a few nice restaurants along the river We slept well, beds were good.

Because our room was a modernised one there are no negatives.
We had a modern room in the newly renovated part of the hotel. All quiet and attractive. The hotel has an integrated café and restaurant, both of which are very good. Breakfast is fine. There is a private carpark directly behind the hotel. The location is very good - very short walks to the sights.

There were sections where that appeared newly remodeled and others where the carpets are badly soiled. Our room was very nice.
Located in a charming village with very conscientious staff. The cafe service was exceptional.

We were travelling to Holland from Austria and needed an overnight stay, found this through Booking.com and it was easy to find
Really good value for money. Excellent breakfast but unable to eat in the restaurant in the evening as it was fully booked! Says a lot about how good the food is!

Super clean and quiet at night. The breakfast was delicious with many choices including eggs cooked to order and many choices of loose teas. It was an easy walk all over town. I would highly recommend this place!

No airconditioning, blow dryer didn’t work. Also some outlets didn’t have any electricity. Checking out took some time to since there was no one at the reception.
The breakfast was very good and the room is big. Friendly staff!

more often than not there will be nobody at the reception and there is no bell, you must go look for somebody

The reception area and "lobby" needs a proper interior design work; it looked like the back end of a restaurant's kitchen. The parking could do with drainage and straightening. Even the ventilation needs a thorough work.

I hated bathroom, because door was not to the floor, but have 10cm apart, so everything could be heard

It was extremely hot and the hotel lacks airconditioning.
Nice, family run hotel in a charming small town, next to Wurzburg. Very conveniently located for a stopover on my way to Austria. Good food and service, excellent value for money.

We booked a luxury twin room but we’re given a double bed which was not suitable for my friend and me. We had to wait whilst the bed was separated. The bathroom was fine but gave no privacy - ok for a couple but not so much for just friends. The signage (I.e ‘to reception’, ‘way out’ etc) was hand written and stuck to the doors on sheets of paper. They looked a little unprofessional.

We loved this hotel, staff were so friendly and welcoming. The onsite restaurant was excellent for dinner and the breakfast was terrific. Our rooms were right next to one another in the new part of the hotel.

Some of the staff could use some smile every now and then. Coming from 02 different hotels in the previous weeks I can tell cleaning is not the high aspect of this one. We ordered separate beds (mother and son) but the bathroom works in open concept which means lack of privacy (no door, only a curtain separates shower and bedroom).
Beautiful and new building, big and very comfortable rooms, good parking lot, very good breakfast, some of the staff very friendly, and very quiet. Very well located.
