Pricing & arrangements for parking & spa should have been clearer in the listing. With some honourable exceptions, many of the staff seemed disinterested or surly.

The property is currently undergoing renovations, so breakfast was served in the conference room—but that’s life! It didn’t take away from the overall experience.

Friendly staff, a great breakfast, and clean, newly renovated rooms made our stay very comfortable. The location is exceptional, and the hotel is wonderfully child-friendly. We truly had a lovely time!

We made the mistake of leaving our window open during mosquito season, but that really isn't the fault of the hotel.

Room felt outdated. Restaurant with beautiful river view was closed. This was not mentioned in front. Breakfast was in conference rooms, not very attractive Bar closed as well, finally the elevator was broken. inadequate pillows

The furniture in our was a little old-fashioned, but the hotel is remodelling, so I guess, the rooms will get a more modern touch. One member of the reception staff was unfriendly. She used the usual friendly phrases to talk to guests but was kind of annoyed to work.

The hotel ist close to the city center. The food at the restaurant was very delicious. The spa & sauna area was welcoming.

The DORINT chain usually means a high level of luxury. This was present in some ways but our room was worn out. The rug had multiple stains, the furniture was worn and frayed and the shower had either mold or mold stains on the walls.

Location is simply unbeatable with a splendid view of the Elbe river and the Albrechtsburg castle just across the river. The hotel itself has a fine breakfast in the atrium with a partial view of the castle. The view is now partially blocked by additions made to the left wing of the hotel.

We booked this hotel partly because there was a restaurant and we expected to have dinner there. At the second day we could not get a table booked in the morning because the restaurant "was fully booked". At the evening we tried again because the 4 kids were tired but did not succeed, so we set out in the rain trying to find a restaurant. No help offered by the hotel only a shrug. When we were able to eat there the restaurant actually was pretty good and not too expensive.

Excellent location of the hotel with exceptional views from the room window to the Elbe and old town. One of the staff members (older gentleman) was competent and very nice to us. The parking was without fuss.

We found the reception staff inexperienced and unhelpful. The windscreen of our car had cracked as we drove to Meissen. I explained this to two different receptionists and it was clear that they were not willing to help me find a glass repairer

The location across the Elbe from the schloss is excellent. We sat on the lawn before dinner with a beer and a perfect view. The other highlight of the stay was the wonderful meal served in the excellent restaurant. The waiter ensured we made the right choices including a local white wine to accompany the main course.
