It is right that it is about 100 meters to walk from the reception through the picture gallery to the rooms in the parking. The information that the classic rooms – as you also had booked one – are located in the park wing can be found in the room description and on the map on booking. If you prefer a room in the main building I could recommend you a comfort room. And yes, a hotel as big as ours – with 555 rooms the biggest hotel in Baden-Württemberg – can be a bit confusing; but just as our team for any directions. It is also right that it is about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the Schlossplatz – the main square of the city – but therefore the hotel is located really quiet next to the historic Hoppenlau park. The Hoppenlau is indeed a former cemetery but the last funeral was around 1880; today it is used as an inner city park. We have a sign right next to the entrance to the pool that tells people to shower before using the pool but we can’t control if every guests showers beforehand and I thing this could feel also a bit strange for guests to be checked. If you feel unpleasant when guests don’t wear a classical bathing suit or bikini don’t hesitate to contact the reception so we can talk to them. But yes, it is also possible that it is a special swim wear which covers the whole body and some of our guests from all over the world prefer this kind of bathing suit. Our airing system cools the room down up to 7°C under outside temperature due to health and environmental reasons. It is right that you can’t compare it with an A/C as for example in the US which cools a room down to 16°C. If you need more of firmer pillows please call our housekeeping and we will bring them up to your room. And yes, we try to make every stay as pleasant and personal as possible but it is right that you can’t compare a hotel of our size – with 555 rooms the biggest hotel in Baden- Württemberg – completely with a small, family owned hotel. It is also right that we give out our welcome water already at the reception, on one hand because of logistic reasons, on the other hand because many guests are happy about something to drink already at check in after a long journey. Right next to the hotel you find two supermarkets, a cinema, the local concert hall, several restaurants and with Stuttgart West one of the most vibrant neighbourhoods of the city. Just ask our reception for any recommendations. And yes, it is probably right that you can’t compare the pool area of our more business-orientated hotel completely with a distinct SPA hotel. It is right that we have currently some construction works on some floors but on your floor, the works itself are already finished. There are only some ceiling panels missing as there is a delay on behalf of the manufacturer. It is right that it is about 100 meters to walk from the reception through the picture gallery to the rooms in the park wing. The information that the classic rooms – as you had also booked one – are located in the park wing can be found in the room description and on the map on booking. If you prefer a room in the main building I could recommend you a comfort room. And yes, it is right that there was a small fire during your stay. As it was outside of the hotel itself and there was no danger for any guests due to the evaluation of the professional firefighter department, the head of Stuttgart’s firefighters decided, that there is no evacuation of the hotel needed so there was of course also no information about the not-executed evacuation and in your case especially, because your room was quite far away of the location of the fire. Unfortunately the wish for two separated beds wasn’t transmitted from booking into our hotel system; we are working already on a solution. I am also sorry that a ceiling panel in the bathroom was not in place although you won’t get any smells from the next room as there is no connection between our rooms. If you need more or firmer pillows please do not hesitate to contact our housekeeping so we can bring one up to your room. And yes, the sauna was indeed not in use due to a technical malfunction; the service company is already working on it. And yes, we offer our guests to check in / to fill in the needed information already beforehand the arrival if they want to. If not, you can fill in exactly the same data also by hand right at the check in desk at the hotel as we need this information by law – so it’s the decision of each guests when and where he want to give this information.
