The property is very well located, right smack in the center of Weimar. The accommodation itself has a very luxurious few and all the facilities are top-notch, including free coffee and tea 24/7. The bed is very comfortable and the shower very spacious, you really cannot find a better place. In addition, the owner was very generous in letting me in early after arriving from a long trip.

Attractive apartment in the centre with a nice writing desk. The bed was comfortable.

Minor point but, rather than having coffee/tea making equipment in the rooms, these are communal outside the room. This is fine but a little noisy (lots of hard surfaces) when other guests make coffee at 6.30 am!

Really central, just on the main square. We had a 50% discount so it was good value for the money, compared to other options. The room was big and modern even though it looks like it hasn't been taken good care of (stained walls, paints falling off and kept together with tape). The balcony was a lovely plus.

The check-in and check-out procedure should be Improved. I had to contact the accommodations to have the check-in code, which was given to me, but I was told that I should have waited for an automatic sms, which only arrived at 23 (check-in at 15). The check-out procedure wasn't really clear (a hidden link to click through a received email), to pay the city tax by credit card. Booking said 18 euro, the instruction in the room said 9 and the link that we saw too late eventually said 13 (the right amount) We left 18 cash as we had no idea how much to leave, so we paid too much. A second key was provided on our 3 day, but it should have been provided immediately, as it caused some issues as me and my wife had different working times. The shower has no glass on the side so it floods the bathroom, making it dangerous if you are not careful,.my wife nearly fell the first day. The room wasn't 100% clean (we found long hair around in the shower) and on the mattress (prob from the headboard) The mattress was so uncomfortable, a single sponge layer on top of 2 single mattresses that kept on moving, making you sink in the middle. the pillow was all yellow soaked in sweat and smelling pretty bad.

The location was very central in Weimar and extremely convenient being just around the corner from the Market Square. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was quite fancy. A good spacious lobby to dump bags and coats etc. Was delighted to find the balcony! I love a balcony. Tea/coffee point was a nice touch (although as Brits we were obviously a tiny bit disappointed there was no "normal" (schwarz) tea or milk.) It looks like we had a lot of negatives, but none of these points affected our stay in a major way. The room was comfortable, convenient and very good value for money, and we would stay there again.

Some maintenance and decoration was needed. The walls in the bedroom were scraped and marked and needed a lick of paint. The shower screen was partially hanging off the wall. The door from the bedroom to the balcony could only be opened as a door and not as a window (because it was broken). There was nowhere to put the shower head at a sensible height or at a sensible angle so the water sprayed everywhere (and you could see where the bath had been damaged by people dropping it). The plug to the sink was very temperamental. We had assumed that the roof over the balcony was a proper roof, but it rained during the night and everything on the balcony was soaking, so I was sad that we couldn't sit out on the balcony with our tea in the morning. We stayed in 9 different places on our trip to Germany, and concluded that we're not great fans of the check-in process by being sent a code on the day. I expect this is fine when it works, but in this case, it didn't - we never received the text with the code. Whilst this was sorted out promptly when we phoned the owner, it is quite stressful waiting for code, wondering what to do if it doesn't arrive etc etc.

The only downside is the noise that might come early in the morning from the street, but it did not affect my stay!

It was in a perfect location - very close to a number of sights, for example the Goethe Haus. The room was very spacious and was furnished with nice style. There were shared tea and coffee facilities and some biscuits in the share apartment hallway. The manager is very kind and is easy to make contact with and very responsive. I had only an international sim card so was unable to make phone calls and worried I wouldn't receive the apartment's SMS with the door code, so the manager kindly agreed to also send the code via the booking app just in case that were to happen.

If I really have to criticise something, it would be that the shower, while having a luxurious appearance, was somewhat impractical due to having only a rain drop shower head and the lack of a shower door - the bathroom got a bit wet, so some additional bath mats would have come in handy. Oh, maybe also some black tea and milk would be good, but the collection of teas was still great.

Beautifully designed. Great location. Spacious and clean.

The guesthouse is on the first floor of an apartment building without elevator and there's no one there to help with the luggage, which is not mentioned on their booking page. For elderly folks or people with heavy luggage this is a problem. Furthermore, I did NOT receive a text message with an entry code (and I checked both SIM cards). So I had to call the owner who insisted of having sent it to the "funny phone number" and who then resent the code via booking which took quite some time. Checking in and out without human beings involved is all fine as long as it works. When it doesn't. it's annoying.

    Property response:

Thank you for your feedback. You are absolutely right about the information regarding the absence of an elevator. This will be added to the description on Booking. The SMS always goes automatically to the phone number provided by you to booking, yours was sent at 13:28, which is 1 1/2 hours before the actual check-in time. If this number was not correctly provided or if there was a mistake, it certainly complicates the check-in process. It was never mentioned that the provided number looks "funny," only very unusual. Thank you for your stay.
