Bathroom really small - it was difficult to get the right temperature in the shower with no power just dripped out also the plastic shower curtain sticking to you and water going all over fall, No kettle in room, too much miss matched furniture, and squeaky loose beds! No hot breakfast! Need Blackout curtains !

Location Good, Staff Good, Very Clean, Breakfast plenty of variety- cold meats, eggs, cheese, bread, yogurt, fruit, tea and coffee

Mariahilf Hotel was the right choice for us considering the cost of stay and the central location.

The room was clean, but needed some repairs - it had a large stained spot on the ceiling with a paint peeling off.

It is really B&B, not a hotel. The location is excellent. The staff was very friendly. The buffet breakfast was adequate. The instructions for getting in after hours were easy to follow.

    Pleasant stay during Oktoberfest
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Single Room
    • Stayed 3 nights

The bed was a bit too soft for my back. Also - as in buildings from this era - the doors doent keep sounds from corridor away that much. I was out until late so I didnt mind on the first two days, but I had some oktoberfest guests staying at the adjacent rooms and they were a bit loud in the morning and in the evening. This isn't that big o a problem though. I don't know how much the rooms are outside Oktoberfest-season, but at the time the price was a bit too steep for my liking although in line with the prices of other hotels considering the season.

Absolutely lovely staff from front desk to cleaners, breakfast makers etc. The location isn't smack down middle of Munich, but buses go straight to Marienplatz frequently and the bus rides takes around 10-20 minutes. You can get to the hotel from chinesischer turm in less than 50 minutes. The room was very very clean and was cleaned every day. The toilet and shower was good also. Breakfast was good and gave a good start for the day. They also have 2 cute hotel doggos <3

Dated decor and a little pricy but this was during Oktoberfest where every accomodation offering is expensive

Lovely staff with very cute dogs! Great breakfast offering included in price. Despite it being not in the centre, lots of local transport options across Munich. Staff very kindly let us check in a few hours early which really helped with our plans for Oktoberfest.

The walls were a bit thin; I was awoken by a vomiting neighbor in the middle of the night. I could hear every detail of his puking.

Cozy little hotel 20 minute walking distance to city centre. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was quite nice, too.

    Very good choice for Oktoberfest

There is no lift, so if you have a large suitcase, it will be a problem. The bathroom could improve a bit. Very expensive if you go on Oktoberfest.

The breakfast was very nice, with many varieties. The location is very close to the bus stop, but you can also walk to the city center in 15min. Large beds.

Small bathroom in the room, or maybe it is me who has got bigger :-) Other then that all was fine.

A nice litte hotel situated close to the German museum and Altstadt. Typical small German hotel breakfast, all you need is there. Nice staff and very nice owner, had nice chats with her.

Staff great - but 291 Euros for two people was not a good value for the hotel quality and services

    • Quadruple Room

The cost of 291 Euros for two people for one night did not match the hotel quality and services provided, but the room was large and clean. The room was hot, Wifi didn't work well, breakfast was below average, and the reception was only open for three hours to check in to the hotel.

The lady with the two dogs who checked us in was very nice and helpful. The room was large, very clean, came with a small fridge, and the shower had great water pressure.

Shower is one of those where if someone else anywhere in the hotel runs a cold tap, you are at risk of getting scalded . And it happens every time you shower. Also make sure you specify check in time. We saw many people stranded outside trying to get in. Door locked. Reception closed. No phone number at the front door to allow contact for checking in.

Breakfast food quality excellent but layout of room is not useful. There are three bits of furniture in the room that do not need to be there. Consequently the layout of the food is very awkward and divided into 2 sections. Everyone is in everyone's way all the time. They should get rid of the decorative furniture and put all the food at one end.

The pillows were quite large, as usual in many hotels. Also the duvets were too thick. The night light didn't work.

Super convenient location within walking distance to the center and Deutsche Museum. Close to Isar. Really friendly staff with cute guard dogs. The room was compact but functional with a nice bathroom.
