Perfect for couples! Location is beautiful with a great view if the lake. The hotel is elegantly designed. Staff are very welcoming. Coffee and tea in the room and bottled complimentary water were very indulging. Lovely room even with a nice small sofa

The bar area wasn’t inviting for me, style-wise. White furniture and low tables weren’t comfortable or my taste. Updated smart t.v.s in the rooms would be a good upgrade.

Rooms were comfortable, especially the beds and pillows. The view from the room’s balcony and the outside breakfast area was beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast with a good selection. Despite the various group celebrations outside at the restaurant, the atmosphere was relaxing.

Narrow Dinner Variety at the hotel’s Restaurant, so we needed to dine outside the hotel- which I didn’t like because I preferred having dinner at the Hotel’s restaurant. No lights in the Balcony, which we preferred to have specially to enjoy a balcony stay during the evening. And the Terrace due to low hotel occupancy and cold weather was not serving drinks, the Bar were also closed, still available to stay in, we are not drinking but we preferred to enjoy a cup of warm tea or coffee with a view in the middle of the day or after the breakfast. Not a big deal, but still would be a great option.

I liked my Stay there so much, the view is Stunning but avoid Foggy days because it happened 2 days of our stays to be foggy and the view were blocked, make sure to plan that beforehand. The place is well accessible by a car, 4 mins by car from the main Shore. The staff is welcoming .. so nice and friendly which i liked most about the place The Atmosphere of Bayern, Franken Atmosphere and Culture was in the air, I liked the experience what was expecting. The rooms, restaurants, general atmosphere was designed to fit that. The breakfast, due to low occupancy, was not open buffet, but they served everything we needed at the table and was more than enough. The Breakfast And Dinner - Staff and The restaurant was so friendly, i thank them one by one. And the dinner was traditional Franken-Food, service is excellent, and taste is good, but no much wide range of variety. The place is calm and relaxing, would be a great destination for such a cultural experience Also they granted my wishes for my Man’s B.D celebration and brought the ordered cake to my room which I do appreciate. Thanks again

The seal on the shower needs addressing. Water leaked on the floor. They gave us extra towels and we were more careful but this could do with addressing. One evening there was only one member of staff in the bar serving food and doing the drinks. He managed very well and was super friendly but more staff were needed.

The view is wonderful. You can spend hours looking out over the lake and the mountains. Breakfast is plentiful. There is a buffet but you can order different types of eggs if you want them. When there aren’t many guests, you order at the table. The room was well presented and very clean. The bed and the pillows were comfortable. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. There is a public bathing spot near a cafe about 25 minutes walk away - perfect for a refreshing dip. You can walk into Tegernsee for shops and restaurants (30 mins) but be prepared for the hill on the way back. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but we did eat in the bar. All good.

It’s not clear at all on the website that the hotel sits high above the lake on a zig zag track which would be fine in normal weather but we arrived in heavy snows. The website cleverly makes you think that you’re right on the lake, I promise you, you’re not. Nothing was done to clear the access road to the hotel which was lethal for the few days we were there. We arrived just before 6pm and the charming man who greeted us looked relieved because after 6pm on a Monday you’re on your own! No restaurant, no bar nothing and you had a single key that let you in to the hotel, your room and thus, I would assume, all the other rooms too. We got the distinct feeling we were the only people in the hotel but there was no way of proving that. It was eerily quiet. Breakfast was hit and miss. One day there was a massive buffet spread, on another there was a young girl all on her own, nothing laid out and we just had to tell her what we wanted. We asked for egg and sausage and our white sausages came out floating in a bowl of hot water. I appreciate it’s a cultural thing but on the previous day they had a buffet with normal grilled sausages which is what we had been expecting. I imagine this is a hotel that thrives in summer and is in a beautiful position. However, despite the friendly staff, I would caution visiting in the snowy months.

It’s a beautiful property with panoramic owes over the lake. Our room was spacious clean and comfortable.

The hotel is up on the side of a very steep mountain, so make sure you book a taxi in advance. Mobile service was a bit unpredictable so plan ahead on transport.

One of the most charming hotels I have ever stayed at! Gorgeous views, luxurious rooms with creative local decor, exceptional food and service - yet it all felt cozy and welcoming. Small touches like fresh fruit and brass keys instead of those hideous cards made it extra special. The dinner was one of the best we had in all of Germany, and the breakfast buffet with homemade breads and yogurts was wonderful. Loved that it was dog-friendly, even though our dog was not with us. The goats (sheep?) grazing on the pasture directly behind the hotel were the perfect Alpine touch. The entire family loved our time here.

Parking in steep hill. One night there was no parking due to event in the restaurant. Rather than the usual breakfast buffet a mini buffet was brought to the table. While quality was good the result was a more limited selection than most hotels. The restaurant was very expensive as was the room. Due to small windows no view from inside the room.

Junior suite was really just one large room. Very nice. Had huge raised terrace with view of lake.

Breakfast was awful, although we got down at 9.30am. We were looking forward to a restful two day stay using our balcony room that were had booked. We arrived two hours before check in closed to find our room had been given to someone else and could not changed!! We were given an upgrade (apparently) but the room did not have a balcony and not as comfortable or suitable for us. it was all very disappointing and we cut our stay short and moved on to somewhere else!

Bar and restaurant closed for 2 of our 4 days. Expected at least bar to be open given remote location. Reception seldom manned. No information on skiing. Basic breakfast. Reception staff need training and local information. No pre warning re snow chain requirement. €25 per day for dog expensive. Promised treats and toy but not received.

Lovely, well equipped rooms. Cleaned daily. Staff, when available, we're pleasant.
