How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewFriendly staff, great location, great breakfast, a lot better than average experience for a hotel in Europe and they price. The only thing is the construction site but they tell you before booking and it didn’t make us uncomfortable they stopped the sounds pretty early and we were almost always out on the day.

No staff after 4 pm. No lift so you have to carry your luggage upstairs yourself. Huge construction site on the premises

Verified reviewThe breakfast was great!
The view was awful, q building site. The bed was really hard. It wasn't like the photos at all, much more old fashioned and out dated.

Verified reviewThe room was comfy and spacious for us, a small family with a small baby. Would have been a good view to the mountains and the lake, if it wasn't for the construction site nearby. Special thank you to the staff - they were super friendly, helpful and nice - I was doing remote work from the hotel and they always made sure all is ok and got me coffee once in a while. The internet connection for guests was a bit weak, but they provided me the password to the staff router and I could work without more issues.
I know it's not an issue with the hotel itself, but there is a construction site right between the hotel and the lake, so the view wasn't exactly what we expected

Verified reviewA reasonable price for what is an expensive location. Despite its temporary status, you can enjoy the stay there.
A temporary pop up hotel placed at the construction site where a larger resort is being built. The photos are not matching the overall dated and cheap experience. Vegetarian breakfast.

Verified reviewAlmost everything
At august 2024 there is a huge building site in front of the hotel so you cant properly see the lake. You should inform your costumers about that before the booking. And you can't have a wifi without password protection, it's dangerous.

Verified reviewLocation close to restaurants and the lake. Great breakfast, even if there were only vegetarian options. Wide sortiment and good quality of bakery products.
The place is next to a huge construction site. Even though our room had a lake view (as advertised) the view was almost fully blocked by the construction site (not as advertised). Construction works were running during our stay, starting early every morning - this was quite loud and made it difficult to relax. The room was more or less okay except for the bathroom. It was very difficult to set the right water temperature in the shower, the tap was very old, it took minutes to find the right spot. There was almost no place to store towels and bathroom items in the bathroom (no shelves or drawers). There was no holder for the shower head in the shower cabin. Such items cost a few euros only, it is only a matter of attention. Something that I have never seen in any hotel: no day to day room cleaning or change of towels. Of course, it can also be a waste to change and wash towels every day. But in a hotel that costs 150 eur per day I expect at least to have the option to change, and also to change the bath mat every day without asking. The overall experience with cleaning is that it is not really a focus point in this hotel - not in rooms (dirt in the bathroom and on the floor), and not at breakfast (dirty dishes). All in all very disappointed especially for the price. The pop-up hotel concept sounded very good, but in this case it gave us the impression that it is about keeping investment and maintenance costs close to zero, while making the customers pay the price of a three star hotel. The breakfast (vegetarian) was able to compensate the negative experiences a bit, but only on the first two days - on the third day eggs have been removed from the menu making it quite difficult to enjoy as a non-vegetarian.
