How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bed mattress was very soft. The cleanliness could be improved. For the money it costs, the breakfast could be richer and offer something extra (like slippers, pillow, etc.)
The hotel is located in a quiet area in the city center. Everything you need is within walking distance.

Laundry machines would have been nice, but really I'm just nit-picking here. I enjoyed my stay and have no serious or major complaints.
It was clean and spacious. I thought the location was excellent, with several good restaurants and public transport nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. I like that they provided extra blankets. I'd stay there again, without a doubt.

This was resolved quickly, but our parking card stopped working.
Lovely gentleman checked us in and gave us a couple options for our family. Very kind. Everything was clean and well cared for. Modern furnishings made it feel open and location made it convenient for our many trips through the surrounding area. I will definitely be back!

The wifi is connection has delays and drops when calling thru Whatsapp on handy.
The staff provided very good customer service and was very helpful. The junior suite was excellent. The hotel is definitely one of the best in the area.

The shower was tiny and the shower door was difficult to close just right so I didn’t have a puddle of water outside of the shower. Minor issue though.
Room was clean and quiet and bed was comfy.

There is nothing the hotel can do due to space, but larger cars will struggle to get into the hotel car park, which comes as a cost as well.
The hotel is very central for restaurants and bars, all within a 15-minute walk, breakfast is good. The rooms were clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable. The reception staff were most helpful (considering my German is atrocious)

Lobby was closed on arrival though I understand the situation.
Hotel is always welcoming and comfortable. Plenty of room options, selections for breakfast, location close to everything but also quiet.

Hotel workers were not friendly or informative. Asked where to park the car. Receptionist explained how to get there. Bit of a drive to get to the back of the property. Got to the lot and the gate would not open. Intercom did not work. Drove back to the front of hotel, hard to find a parking spot on the street, walked inside, told receptionist I could not get the gate to open. Person looked annoyed and said I need a parking gate electronic key to open it….wouldn’t that be something that would go along with asking where to park my car and getting directions? Next told receptionist I would like breakfast added for the stay. Ate a few times, my name and room number was on the list no problem, then one morning my name was not on the list. Explained it must be a mistake and asked to be added. Person working started to lecture me “you must inform us you want breakfast the day before” went on about not enough food and help for all the breakfast guests in the hotel….as I looked around at 0930 and noted that no one was there. I told her that a day-before notification was not explained to me at check in, on the web-site or in any published literature. She just keeps going on and on how bad it is I did not inform the hotel staff I wanted breakfast, strange and annoying.
Good location, close walk to restaurants and bars.

The bed was too small and hard for my back. I woke up with back pain.
