We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We stayed only one night at Landhotel und Gasthaus Polster, but it was truly a magical experience. The hotel is built in authentic Bavarian style, with rooms that are both comfortable and wonderfully cosy. Breakfast was served in the beautiful garden of the restaurant, which felt absolutely enchanting. The politeness and professionalism of the staff made our stay even more memorable. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations, and we are already dreaming of our next visit. Highly recommended!

United KingdomWe enjoyed everything up to the dinner, but I'm afraid the party or wedding held at the hotel had an exceptionally loud disco and I couldn't get to sleep until after midnight.
Breakfast and the hotel was located close to the A3. Good dog walking close by. This was our second visit.

BelgiumWe were looking for a simple overnight stay en route home. What a nice surprise! The location was idyllic, ideal for walks with our dog. The hotel and restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and our room was huge; perhaps not the latest chic but squeaky clean and the beds were comfortable. And, honestly, at that rate you are not going to complain! We ate at their restaurant and were again pleasantly surprised. Fresh asparagus with salmon and new potatoes. The homemade sauce hollandaise - which I’m usually not the greatest fan of - was light as air and it all tasted great. Good selection of local and other German wines at decent prices.

SwitzerlandIt was extremely difficult to find out how to get the hallway lights to go on. At night was searching for a light switch (plenty at each room entrance but where was the main switch when you come out of the elevator??) Ended up trying to find my way in the dark and turning on my phone light, but first bumping into the cupboard in the hallway - ouch! Also there wasn't an actual shower in the bathroom (there was a bathtub was shower hose). It worked, but ended up cleaning quite a bit of water off the floor.
The room and bathroom were large. Hotel itself was quiet and there was a fantastic restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was sufficient and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend the restaurant for dinner - some of the finest food I've had in a long time. Was burger and ribs night (cute that they call them "Rips") - looked delicious, but I opted for the fish and it was fantastic.
