This is exceptional place, beautiful, calm and full of history. The hotel looks like palace in the middle of the wood. Extremely beautiful in the morning surrounded by misty fields.

Everything was perfect.

The location is very quiet. Situated practically in the middle of nowhere.

If you want an evening meal, you will have to drive several kilometres to the nearest town.

Beautiful surroundings and a great breakfast. Quite place at the countryside with a pool and clean rooms.

Very welcoming and we cannot say thank you to Ingrid enough for being such a great and kind host. The breakfast was delicious and we were happy with the choice of food that was offered.

Excellent breakfast in a beautiful, peaceful and quiet location

Provision of some sort of catering e.g snacks, sandwiches, dinner etc. No restaurant or cafe nearby to get a hot meal after a long drive. Maybe when in the height of the tourist season the cafe/bar/restaurant will be open for catering needs.

Quietness of the place - however, we were the only guests - and the friendliness of the staff. The breakfast was wonderful. Brand new bathroom too

Unfortunately, there is no restaurant or bar. But there is a brewery in about 3 km away.

Close to A2 motorway, quiet location which was something we really wanted after a long journey. We booked a room for 2 and a baby. We received a message from the owners saying they were not able to provide a cot for the baby and suggested we should cancel our reservation and find a different accommodation to have better comfort. We did not expect a baby bed as our baby sleeps with us anyway so this was not a reason for us to cancel as we liked the location a lot. Room was big and clean although could do with and upgrade.

We found it difficult to communicate with the owner as she did not speak english and we do not speak german. It seemed she was not happy when she saw we sat at a different table as apparently there was another one alrady set which we did not see! Thd owner seemed unhappy when she saw our messy table as we werd eating our breakfast but with a 20 months old toddler ig is rather impossible to kerp the table clean during the meal! We did clean when we finished eating though! It was a shame there was no high chair as had we had one, the table would look much better! No kettle in the room.

Beautiful renovated mansion in the midst of old trees, friendly welcome, perfect place to calm down, conveniently located to motorway. Very nice experience.

There was no restaurant and wifi (practically) although advertised in booking.com. Sound proof is terrible

Lovely surroundings in beautiful German countryside. Very helpful hosts.

The room for the price was very basic. Staying in the annex the rooms are sparsely furnished and a different world to the glorious Manor House. Expensive for comparable rooms we have stayed in.

Breakfast was good. Room1 was lovely with a stunning bathroom.

Reception area was outdated. Restaurant no longer exists, so had to drive 3km for dinner. Potts brewery was great with a Tuesday buffet.
