there were no toiletries like hand wash or body wash in the bathroom. we were there just for the night and usually carry our own stuff in small quantities. so we adjusted.

The hotel is in a small green area surrounded by town and highway. Trees made it feel more remote than it actually was. It was also nice and quiet. We arrived after dark and left before sunrise. We did not see many facilities for guests. The room was nice and the reception was helpful. We were surprised to find the on site restaurant served Indian food. It was not what we had in mind, but it was good. There is plenty of free parking. It took less than 20 minutes to drive to the airport on Saturday morning. There is a convenient place to refuel the car right before the airport.

Shower was not attached to the wall. Sink has a crack in the ceramic - both funktional.

Hiking trails right behind the hotel, with wonderful view, very quiet and comfortable. Super friendly staff. The room was clean, and cozy. Water boiler with condiments are in the room. Center of town, bus and rail station are reachable walking, only minutes away. My service dog was welcomed, even though with a cleaning charge of 15 Euros a night. He was allowed to roam free in the back yard field that is closed in, awesome. Super friendly and helpful staff. Free parking. A great rated indian restaurant is close and breakfast is offered on site.( not free with my booking)

I have no complaints about the basic essentials expected of a hotel in terms of bed and breakfast. Actually, it is a little gem hidden in the woods and has such great potential for a comeback to former glory. My parents still remember the hotel from the heydays of the Woibel family. To be fair, back then the clientele was different and not affordable for normal travelers. It would need some TLC on the inside and outside to bring it back to what I understand was once an excellent hotel. Although it being overall in a dated condition, it has a certain retro-charm.

This is a simple hotel situated in a nice and quiet location near the woods. The rooms with views into nature were very quiet, peaceful, comfortable and adequate for our needs and presented value for money. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. At the backside of the hotel there is now a very good Indian restaurant frequented by locals. The surrounding countryside is ideal for hiking and cycling, p.ex. to the "Meisterturm", an observation tower with great 360° views and adjacent lovely little restaurant with a Biergarten.

There were a few cobwebs dotted around the room and a cigarette burn in the bedding. Nothing major and it certainly didn’t matter too much.

The room was really comfortable for 2 adults and a toddler. It was a good size and the shower had really good pressure. The view from the room was beautiful with views of the forest.

Cleanliness at one area is not good, that too only once I observed. So not a big deal. Just they missed to clean that space looks like. As its next to forecast, seems like some wild animal might have visited surrounding overnight and did that mess right infront of breakfast house! :D

Breakfast varieties were good. Wooden furnishing in the breakfast room takes you back to 150 years. When it rains, the sceneries are outstanding. You can go for a walk around the forest also.
