Fantastic location, lovely owners who were really friendly. The food was amazing! The room was super, a coffee machine, pods to use and a kettle and an honesty bar. Parking for our motorbikes was a bonus. It was lovely falling asleep listening to the river nearby. Very sad to leave and hope we have a chance to return.

We had a warm welcome at the Landgasthaus Gruener Baum. The room was nicely furnished, spacious and comfortable, with a private balcony overlooking the valley. We stayed for two nights and ate in the restaurant both evenings – the food was delicious! We would strongly recommend it for a stay in Simonswald.

The mattress was quite soft, the cover was not made of soft quality cotton, which I found very unpleasant. For the rest, was a perfect stay.

Charming hotel blending traditional common areas with modern rooms, perfect for a peaceful retreat. Delicious breakfast. The restaurant offers great quality but is a bit pricey. Great balcony with relaxing views that we enjoyed every evening.

I couldn't stay longer

We ce here years ago and I'm so relieved to see they have weathered the storm of COVID and passing years to be as outstanding as ever. Your hosts are fun and generous, the warmth of their welcome is authentic and the food & drink simply excellent. I can heartily recommend a stay here in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Well appointed huge rooms all kept exceptionally well.

The food in their restaurant is not just good excellent! Well prepared venison, gorgeous Riesling before a beautiful sunset. Wonderful.

To sum up, everything. The owners takes pride to provide the best service to their guest. Everything is the highest quality. The food was amazing, out of this world. We spent one night only but we hope to get back there for a longer period in the future for a longer break and some walks in the forest.

Beautiful location surrounded by spectacular nature just outside the town of Simonswald. Old farmhouse with modern & spacious rooms. Fantastic restaurant with exceptional host. Check in/out super easy. Breakfast was plentiful with made-to-order-eggs, as well as a breakfast buffet. The in-house restaurant serves regional dishes, which are made fresh and taste absolutely delicious. Free parking on site. Easy access to many hiking trails just steps away from the hotel. Highly recommend. Will stay here again this summer.

It was an so excellent experience to spent time in this beautiful hotel ! All was perfect…. The room, with modern and styled furniture, light, balcony, and the landscape that we discover from it at the 2nd floor. Confortable and really clean bathroom. The typical Schwartzwalder restaurant with its sweet ambiant. And the food…. Fantastic tasty and amazing so much ! The diner was a great moment for me.
