How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Everything else - this is not a real Hotel - it's a short term rental, Airbnb type, with no-one on property to help with all the issues. The description on the website is all wrong, nothing even close. There is promised Air Conditioner, No alarm clock, no iron, Desk or working area, nothing like that in our room. Pillows are garbage - they are non- existent. Bedding in general is very uncomfortable. Our TV did not work - no help from the staff that, by the way, was not present at the property and was not helpful. Very disappointing

Verified reviewLocation, architecture.
It needs two trash baskets instead of just one in the bathroom. The living room needs one too.

Verified reviewself check in was easy
Everything a little old, the floors definitely need a thorough clean-up (or being changed). The walls are old and need to be painted. Breakfast was very expensive for what it is. The doors to the rooms don’t seem very secure. The coffee/tea in the room was empty.

Verified reviewGreat location near Dresden Hauptbahnhof. A few minutes walk from the Station. Comfortable bed.
There are no Front of House staff. You're emailed an access code and that's it. We saw a cleaner on our first day but never again. No towels were ever replaced - we were there for 3 days! No rubbish was ever removed. If you have an issue there's no one to talk to about it. Our pillows were very uncomfortable but there were no staff to sort out replacements. There was no info on how to work the TV. We couldn't get it to work. No one to ask to sort it out. The breakfast was hit and miss. One day it was on, the next day it wasn't! It advertises it had a restaurant - it was never open!!! The surrounds and gardens are covered in weeds. It's very unkempt, in fact I was surprised the hotel was actually open when we arrived. It looks derelict. The outside windows to our room were very dirty. We had a Standard Room. We had NO air conditioning even though it's advertised as having AC. It was 34 the day we arrived. The room was stifling. We had to leave the windows open all night to cool the room. Perhaps only the more expensive rooms have airconditioning? We felt we didn't get value for money. I now realise the photos on the website are of the Deluxe larger rooms. It's rated as 3 Stars. I'd give it 1.5 Stars.

Verified reviewAbsolutely disliked the place. It is very close to the train station and feels really unsafe. There is no staff which makes it impossible to communicate when the problem occurs. Our room was dirty. The carpet was full of old stains. On the bed you can see that people have written several words with the marker and it is not washed. It felt like we stayed in the brothel. Moreover, there was no light in the bathroom. We contacted the staff through the booking app but no response was received. It was impossible to use bathroom at night without the light. What an absurd!

Verified reviewThe location of this hotel was wonderful for us as we are travelling by train. Its proximity to the old town of Dresden was also a bonus. The shower was hot.
1. The western side of the room did not have a blind so the sun was very bright in late afternoon. 2. There was a jug but no tea, coffee or milk provided - so the jug was useless. 3. the pillows were terrible and so although the bed was reasonably comfortable we did not get a good sleep and woke with sore necks and headaches.

Ghost town. Not a single person in sight. Too hot during the night. Super thin curtain offered no privacy. Couldn't open windows during the day due to massive flock of honey bees right next to it

Verified reviewLoved the big room and easy check in, location was great! The balcony was a dream and just what we needed to recharge.
Complementary coffee in the morning, i didn't want a full breakfast, just a simple cup of coffee in my room sitting on the balcony would've been bliss. Simple fix. The decor is very dated. This place has huge potential, huge!!!

Verified reviewThe hotel is conveniently located, next to the train station.
1. The hotel has a different name!!! We arrived at the address, but the hotel was not there. I wrote an email and there was no answer. 2. We entered the hotel using a PIN code. There was no one at the reception. 3. We learned from other residents about the need to register online and get a different code. Then we realized that we did not receive registration instructions.!! 4. We called the suggested number, an answering machine answered. 5. Half an hour later!! From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we established contact via SMS. They sent us a code to enter the room. The code did not work. They sent a second code. The code did not work again. The door was opened for us remotely. Result. An evening walk around the city did not take place due to the inability to close and open the door. We left the hotel early in the morning, because the lock itself was probably broken. None of the hotel staff came to the hotel after a series of letters and SMS. I do not recommend!!

Verified reviewI really like the smooth code-based check-in and the willingness of the Hotel to let me leave my luggage in the lobby on the last day. The location of the Hotel is right next to the main train and bus station, which is an excellent starting point for visiting both the city and surrounding cities.
The cleanness could be improved, but it was, in the end, good enough considering the price.

Found the electronic procedures for access a bit off-putting. And the absence of any staff slightly spooky.
