Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomParrot 1 is on the ground floor at the back, there are windows but they are onto the rear alley so not much daylight. The hotel was very near to street with late night bars/clubs, we didn't find the street intimidating but it's something to be aware of. The pillows were huge, comfy to lie on but a little tricky to sleep with. Standard check-out was 10am which is a little earlier than most places and we weren't able to book late check-out through Booking.com.
Check-in is fully digital and worked very well for us. Room was really well designed with great lighting, and lots of extra touches make it that little bit special, like the smart TV and complementary items. Room had a safe that was so well hidden we didn't actually notice until the second day. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom is spacious. Located a very easy walk into the main city centre and very near to a big U-Bahn station. Staff responded very quickly to queries. All-in-all a great spot for our short stay in Stuttgart.

BulgariaNo fridge or wardrobe in the room. The bed is a bit short for me (I'm a bit taller). There was a bit of noise during our stay from a construction in front of the hotel as well as some drunk people knocked on our door in the middle of the night.
Location was great. Very near the centre with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Room was tiny but functional, if you're planning on using it for sleep and having a shower.

United KingdomThe only thing - our room was in the first floor right above a club that was banging out the tunes until 5am. To be fair we would have joined if everywhere hadn't been totally full. But it may be worth warning guests unfamiliar with Stuttgart that the rooms lower down facing the road will be loud... On the flip side if you plan a late night out anyway the location is fantastic.
Really clean and nice place. Small but has everything. The decor is cool, the bathroom was particularly great. Very easy check in and out. Frankly great value.

LithuaniaIt would be nice to know before the booking what kind of neighbourhood this is :) There were quite a bit of noise outside on Friday night, also the green light on the outside of the window was a bit distracting for sleep. Something behind the tv was also blinking green light quite intensely through the night. Good to point out that there is no elevator and might be quite a bit of stairs to climb to your room. Also the toilet was not clean when we arrived and one of the coffee creamers was spoiled. Otherwise a nice hotel for a short stay. Despite everything I think I would stay again.
It’s quite clean, centraly located, cosy, has a coffee machine, the online check in works seamlessly so as the codes for the doors. The rooftop terrace was closed at the moment of our visit (middle of winter), but there was a nice indoor attic area to sit, work, and look through the skylights. Also the common areas of the hotel smell really nice :)

United KingdomRoom quite small They had left a card and a bottle, which was really lovely, however it was all in German. Stairs extremely steep getting to and from the room. Just a bit too small for me however it was still a lovely room and the bathroom was perfect and spotless.

TurkeyThere was a noise that sounded like someone banging on the pipes, loudly. Thankfully, it didn’t happen the first night, but it happened twice during the second day and the second night. It was coming from the bathroom heater and it stopped once we turned the heater valve, either way. Although it would have been ok since there is an easy solution, it was extremely loud and not a good way to wake up in the middle of the night. Also, it would have been nice to have someone to talk to. Also the sink was too small and placed way too awkwardly to wash our hands easily. Just a suggestion
Everything was brand new and squeaky clean. It was designed well and lovely. There were extra amenities and everything was arranged perfectly. The location was convenient enough and their online check-in system was very effective. Would definitely consider coming back

LuxembourgMy reservations are about the size of the bathroom. My husband and I stayed in the "Flamingo 2" room and found the bathroom too small for us (but we are "big" people). If you are big like us, it may be a bit tight when taking a shower, but nothing that would make me avoid the hotel. I would also say that the fact that the hotel is not on a street where cars circulate made it a bit difficult to access with luggage.
The room is excellent and very stylish. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The amenities left for us reinforce the care. The room and bathroom are very clean and smell nice. The location is also very good. I found the method of entry into the hotel and the room to be very interesting and safe. It worked perfectly. The room and hotel are very quiet.

GermanyNetflix option requires that you have your own account which I do not have. I would want to have access to Netflix. Also, struggled to cast my phone to the TV but that could have been my fault.
Very central. Very clean, comfortable and modern. Nice shower. Nespresso machine with four complimentary coffee pods. Comfortable bed and good TV with the option of Netflix. Can check in online and use codes to enter.

United KingdomThe location opposite a Hells angels club and next door to an adult bar is not great, but the security on site is poor as you could not manually lock the door from inside and its a key code to access. the balcony door could not be left open as the fire escape was un locked and anyone could gain access
The room was ok in terms of decoration and teh coffee machine was good

IraqHey, I booked this hotel for two nights, and I’m really disappointed. It’s a shame that Booking.com doesn’t properly verify the location or the reviews, which seem fake. The neighborhood is surrounded by nightclubs and feels unsafe—I even had to call the police three times during my stay. This hotel should not be listed on your platform without proper checks. Overall, I had the worst experience using Booking.com.

UkraineOh here we go ! 1. Located in the red light district ( but described as in centre in description ) 2. No staff - and extremely expensive , even when it rains outdoor you have to check in staying outside at the main door , just imagine you arrive it’s raining and you have to check in under the rain , and if your handy has no battery or internet you won’t get in simply . For this price i find it extremely bad. 3.After the shower you can’t stay in the room because there is no air to breath the room is very small and really fast covered with wet fog . 4. really expensive and reasonless . 5.Loud at nights cos you are in the middle of red light district. 6. No parking lot . 7.No breakfast opportunity . All in all it’s a cheat , they get your money and give you worst possible stay
Absolutely Nothing !

United KingdomThe room photos were misleading — they made the space look much larger than it actually was. There was barely any room to move around the bed, and when I did, it became obvious that the floor hadn’t been properly vacuumed. While the geographic location was convenient, there was no prior warning about the loud music from the bars directly below our window. It was nearly impossible to sleep until very late, this room is facing the street with bars. We asked at check-in if any alternative rooms were available. The response felt like a generic auto-reply — no effort was made to check or offer options. We were even willing to pay for an upgrade, which appeared available on the hotel’s website, contrary to what we were told. Be aware that check-out is at 10 a.m. We requested a later check-out due to the poor night’s sleep, but were denied again, without any flexibility or alternatives offered. Overall, for the price, there are likely better places to stay with more honest listings and better guest service.
The bed was crisp clean and the decoration was well taken care of. Massive smart TV.

PolandThe hotel promises more than it has to offer. Staying at the Jungle no 5 has nothing to do with experiencing a standard of a boutique hotel. It is a house refurbished to accommodate several superior and deluxe rooms. They are rather standard rooms, although they were renovated a couple months ago, there are stains on the walls. To get to your room and need to climb the steep stairs. The hotel is located on the street full with bars and night clubs. Falling asleep is almost imposibble because one hears the music, drunk people and noise till 5 a.m. There was no iron and ironing desk. One of the emergency doors downstaitrs is closed. During my stay at 6.30 there was some kind of emergency alarm, I packed my things and left. Of course hotel informs abour their "wyld" standard, you just need to read the descriptions in details.
The hotel and rooms are new and nicely designed. It takes 10minutes to get to the city center, there are several cafes, bars and supermarket nearby.
