I think it would be better to have an adult only hour in the morning in addition to the evening slot. Adults going in the pool early are doing so to exercise and that is definitely difficult with children playing and shouting. I think that would make it more of a pleasant experience for adults and families with children who also found it a bit awkward trying to keep little ones quiet!

The welcome at reception was warm and informative. Our family room was a very good size and was well equipped. The pool was lovely and the breakfast was brilliant.

While the staff were generally very nice, some of the bar staff came across as rude and impatient when we tried to order drinks. We had to wait a long time before being served, and when we finally placed our order, the barman was noticeably impatient. Another downside was that my parents received a smaller room, even though we paid the same price and booked the same type, which was a little disappointing.

The room I stayed in was spotless, very spacious, well-ventilated, and offered a beautiful skyline view. I especially liked the modern design with plenty of storage, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is also conveniently located in a nice area, with many restaurants and shops within a 10-minute walk. There’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and the underground is only about a 5–10 minute walk away. Breakfast was superb, with a generous selection and top-quality food—exactly what you would expect from a 5-star hotel. The pool was execellant although a little small and there’s an old excellent spa area with sauna and steam rooms and foot spa- however like the swimming pool you have to pay €10 extra per person per facility but kids to used use everything for free when accompanied by adults - but it’s all free the first day.

Parking is quite expensive, practically all surrounding parking lots were cheaper. Location is okay - close to the park but rather isolated from the main sights (if you don't count the zoo and west Berlin's shopping area). Metro is not closeby. Best to have a car (taxi) if lodging in this hotel. Really poor EV charging options - only two 11kw chargers in the street which are occupied more often than not. Not many restaurants around (only two) and only one breakfast place. The rest is a good 10-15 min walk. Tv selection offers German-speaking channels only.

The family room was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was impressively spacious. Excellent value for money for a family of four. The pool is excellent and children enter free of charge when accompanied by an adult. The adult only needs to pay 10 Eur and only if using the pool, otherwise one can just accompany the kids without paying. The bar is great with an excellent offer of drinks and open until late.

Everything! Extremely comfortable, approachable staff, fantastic facilities (including wonderful spa and pool area), delicious breakfast, perfect location, with nice small touches (like you can take an umbrella from the concierge when it's raining). The hotel is a few minutes away from the zoo, which I really recommend visiting (even without kids :) ) Good transport links to the city and beyond.

For some reason, the TV casting device didn't work so well in our hotel room. We were able to cast YouTube onto the TV in our hotel room, but it would, for some reason, lose connection frequently. We tried troubleshooting the problem by using multiple devices and trying different streaming apps, but nothing seemed to work. Then again, this wasn't a big deal. I just thought I'd point it out as feedback for improvement :)

Awesome kid friendly hotel. I travelled with my family, which consists of a 2 and a 6 year old. They enjoyed everything about the hotel from the indoor swimming area to the tailored breakfast area for kids. I was highly impressed.

We stayed at the InterContinental Berlin by IHG for 3 days in July with our two daughters (ages 9 and 6), and it was an excellent family-friendly experience. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Our kids especially loved the indoor swimming pool and the kids’ play area—great amenities that made the stay even more enjoyable for them. Breakfast at the InterContinental was a daily highlight. The buffet offered a wide variety of high-quality options, from fresh fruit and pastries to hot dishes and made-to-order selections—something for everyone in the family. The hotel’s location near Tiergarten and the Berlin Zoo was also perfect for exploring the city. Overall, we were very impressed by the service, comfort, and attention to family needs. We will definitely be choosing the InterContinental brand for our future travels!

it was very busy, especially at breakfast. The sauna was unfortunately not working on speaking to some regular guests. It would appear not to have worked for several months.

Breakfast was great, lovely selection. Pity the dining room didn’t have windows.
