How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

-It's very loud at night. People opening and closing doors in the corridor, and other people hanging out in the street till late. -Pillows are very soft -No amenities (toothbrush,...) - internet not working most of the time, and cell reception is minimal.
Toilet is clean. There's a hairdryer

No kettle tea/coffee making facility in room and drinks machine downstairs only available to guests at breakfast. From our experience other hotels in the chain allow access to hot drinks anytime. Beds are ok but not the most comfortable, noisy sheets and the mattress slips! Small shower room but adequate.
The Ibis Munster City made a good basecamp from which to explore the city centre and wonderful Christmas Markets. Short walking distance to everything. The breakfast buffet selection is good and all you really need.

Receptionists never acknowledged nor made eye contact when we were in or out. Maybe that's common for ibis standarts?
We were helped by Yasin by our check in and that was actually the only pleasant contact we had with reception staff. Hotel location is good, near the Christmas markets, reason we were there for.

Website advised that parking was available at the hotel (for a fee) but that was not true: staff member at check-in was not helpful with this.

Excellent location for a city trip to Münster. Both the old city center and the harbor are within a 15-minute walking distance from the hotel. There is a large parking garage next to the hotel with sufficient parking space and the option for electric charging. The daily rate for this parking garage is 18 EUR.

Choice of eggs (Omelet, etc.) can offered in the breakfast. No body lotion in the bathroom. Windows are locked and not openable for fresh air.
The location was very central. I just walked to reach every main sight-seeing. Breakfast was delicious and varied. The staff was friendly and careful. I used public closed parking area in the next door.

The bathroom was really tiny and the shower floor flooded very quickly. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.

No guest lounge area.
Well located for access to the town. Good breakfast catering for a Gluten Free diet too. Clean room and quiet. Car park right next door if nothing available on site.

1. The pillows were toooooo low 2. The sewer in bathroom was blocked, ew .... 3. The carpet seemed clean, but somehow I had allergies with the carpet. Should be fine, if others don't do exercise in the room

Clean and functional accommodation for the purposes we needed. Staff are friendly and having a bar on site is nice to help round off your day. Great location being just a short walk into town and car park immediately next door which is reasonably priced. Train station is also just around the corner.
