We paid less to stay in a central Berlin hotel including breakfast, so I think it is overpriced. But if you want the convenience of being close to Lichtenberg then it’s good. And the staff were so friendly

The staff on reception were so lovely and kind - could not fault them. The hotel is a perfect location if you’ve got an early train from Berlin Lichtenberg station as it’s right across the street.

The entrance to the parking area was too small for our car, so we had to park on the road. This was not clear before booking for me.

Unfortunately the shower had only cold water, it was unbearable. Warm water was only available when the shower pressure was on the minimal possible level. It made the showering experience extremely uncomfortable.

The area around the hotel is maybe not the nicest and the wifi is pretty slow.

Everything was pretty decent. The room was large and clean and there was everything you would expect from a hotel room. The hotel is located right in front of a train station so it was really easy to get to other parts of the city very quickly.

Good for people visiting Riga with a car. Location also very central close to the main train station, bus station, old town & centre.

A little bit inconvenient working time of the reception (after 15.00). Though that fact didn't bring any troubles.

The location is perfect. There is very convenient to reach the center of the city by U-Bahn (Subway) ~ 15-20 minutes or by car by the same time. There was a paid parking in hotel's courtyard, but you can always find a parking places in nearby streets (free parking). The room was clean and comfortable if you are not looking for some specials. There are many places to eat nearby from the hotel.

The hotel was a bit old and would need a bit of touching up for those a bit more fussy. But worked for a cheaper trip to Berlin.

The front desk and lobby area have only limited opening hours. There is no clear communication how to reach hotel staff after these hours.

The location opposite a train and S-bahn station can be noisy at times. On the other side of the tracks there are more cafes and fast food.

The neighborhood is dicey, but that is the area. Regardless, we left our car outside on the street (no parking needs to be paid), and everything was fine.

The room was fine; had a funky smell. One window was walled in by the adjacent building and that was just weird. But, it was quiet, and the beds were relatively comfortable, and for the extra bed we needed for our son, we had enough space for everyone. VERY basic, very outdated furniture and deco, but for our purposes (which was only to sleep), it was fine. The lobby is cute, a bit small, but it was one place we could relax. There's a bar, too. We didn't have breakfast, but the dining room seemed nice.

No Breakfast

A very Basic hotel which is reflected in the cost I was disappointed that there was no breakfast. The room I had was large, the bed comfortable, and it was very clean I will use this hotel again If I have to stay in that area overnight. The big bonus for me was the main railway station and SBhan directly opposite the hotel.

it’s a bit far from the city center and the area looks a bit shady at night

my expectations were low after reading the reviews here but it managed to surprised me. it’s an old hotel and staff only speaks German, but it’s a good value for the price. I’d have to stay at a much worse hostel for the same price.

room is too small, tiny. No toiletries at all, no fridge, no clocks, TV was only German language, no single TV channel in English, I've got a 0,5 kilo room key and I had to carry it always with me, because reception did not work 50% time. No hot water, no place to buy tee .....no elementary service

Staff is friendly, but reception is open just few hours per day. They give you just one set of keys (gate, front door, room) for three people. If you come back to the hotel separately outside reception working hours, one person has to call the other to go down from (for example) 4th floor and open the gate. That's very uncomfortable! There is not even small fridge in the room and I thought these days it's standard in the hotels at this level/price.

Location is great - near Lichtenberg station. Beds were comfortable. Room was quiet and clean. Bathroom is big compared to other hotels.

The check-in time is from 15:00 until 23:00 sharp. If you arrive at the hotel ANY other time, you will simply be left outside, regardless of having a (pre)paid room or not. There are no employees at the hotel to assist you from 23:01-14:59. Not even to store your luggage. Also the employees do not speak English.
