How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great facilities and very helpful friendly service during our two nights. The room was spacious and comfortable. WiFi Internet service was a stand out--stable and fast. Breakfast was a buffet with hot foods and all the usual items. Gated parking is available and we appreciated the safety it provided our motorcycle. Downtown, and many restautants, are a short two block walk away. They offer automated check in if you arrive after reception hours.

Hotel closed at nine pm. Bar was never open which was a shame. Outside of hotel looks rough, but inside is fine
Nice big room, good shower in bathroom. Breakfast was excellent as were the staff throughout. Easy parking and good location near to centre of town

Such a lovely hotel and super friendly staff. Rooms were great, clean with fantastic views. Beds comfortable and location quiet. Great value for money!

We arrived at 5pm on Sunday and the reception was closed. It was easy to get the room key but we could not find how to get the the parking. The instructions were not clear enough. I could not get anyone to answer the phone so we parked at public parking nextdoor and I sent an inquiry by email. After I got a reply I could repark.
The room was pleasant, spacious and comfortable with two comfy chairs plus a stool and a desk. We appreciated many sockets, a kettle, tea, instant coffee, and soda water. Our room (104) had a nice view of trees and a little river. Good breakfast, good parking, good location.

the room lock was not working well but we manage to repair it
a good size room . location is about 15 min walk from eisanach centre of town - but we drove so it took 5 minutes. We had free parking. rooms are good size and quiet and beds are good. Had a small table with 2 lazy chairs. good friendly greek restaurant nearby. breakfast is ok.

That I did not learn more German. The people are lovely.
Welcoming hostess. Delicious breakfast. Clean and comfortable room! Close to the train! The castle bus, Christmas markets, dinners in a quint town and down town (which has everything from groceries to pharmaceuticals!) Just a 5-15 walk. We were more than delighted!

Some sign posts indicating the way to the hotel from the main streets nearby.
Excellent breakfast, welcoming and efficient staff, comfortable bed, spacious and clean room, very good wi-fi, very good flat screen tv, the view of some rooms to the Wartburg castle, the calm neighbourhood, very good bathroom. The proximity to the city centre, Luther's house, Bach's house and other places of touristic interest. A variety of good stores for shopping and some supermarkets at intermediate distance.

Just the wifi. Everything else was spot on.
Lovely staff, excellent breakfast. Wifi a little patchy. Nice Greek Restaurant next door if you are tired and don't want to go far. Ten minute walk into the centre of os beautiful town. Could have spent longer here.

Nice modern hotel located very close to downtown. Easy to drive to all locations including the Wartburg. Friendly reception and super breakfast. Would stay here again. Parking in back.

The standard room was acceptable, the only negative remark was that the floor was made of a type of linoleum and was really cold to walk on. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special. However the staff was slow to refill the warm dishes.
The hotel has a good location in the outskirts of Eisenach, approximately a 10 minute walk to the marketplace with the offering of free parking. At arrival the receptionist was very welcoming and answered questions we had concerning the city and the Wartburg castle. We had two different rooms, one standard and one superior. The superior room was very nice, well-decorated with pleasing colours, a newly decorated bathroom with a walk-in shower, a sitting area and comfortable sofa. We also appreciated the kettle for making tea and coffee as well as the complementary water.
