The hotel is the perfect base for trails around Bad Schandau and is located in quiet street but still in the centre of the city. The room was very nice, spotlessly clean and we had a great view outside the window. Downstairs there was a large sitting area with complementary coffee all day around, and facilities to heat some meal. The hotel has it's own parking lot which is very convenient if you arrive by car. We liked our stay at the hotel, thank you!

Great location - good access to tram and buses to go hiking. Nice room with good view. Friendly staff. Free coffee and tea downstairs and everything you need to make or cool your own food. Checkin and checkout was super easy. Great value for money :)

We enjoyed a wonderful few days at Das Sigls. It provided the perfect base for some stunning walks around Bad Schandau. Our room was bright, simple and spotlessly clean. Downstairs there was a sitting area with complementary coffee and tea and facilities to warm and store food. We were given a very warm welcome on our arrival, the manager was friendly and super helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is well located for amenities in the town and local transport links.

Hot room - the weather was warm. I understood there would be no aircon though.

Welcoming - Franzi was very helpful. Space in fridge, crockery and cutlery so you could make light meals. Tea and coffee available at all times. Well located. Comfortable clean room. Space to leave luggage on day of departure. Free travel card for all local forms of transport including the tram was great too.

The shower was of an old style - with curtain instead of glass doors, so we were careful when showering to not make the water out. Also, despite it was a double bed, it was kinda shifted twin beds, and there were 2 twin blankets instead of one blanket for a double bed, but seems like it became a norm in German hotels

A bit confused about the check-in, that was at first communicated at 11am, and then when we were already on our way for this early check-in, we received an sms that the room would only be available after 2pm. The check-out is also on the earlier side, at 10am.

It was a perfect stay! Very comfortable rooms, easy self check-in and a common kitchen area downstairs is convenient enough even for a lengthy stay. The hotel staff is not always there, but whenever we saw them, they were next level friendly and helpful. You’ll also get a guest card with your stay, which gives you various discounts around the town, and allows to travel around for free. The hotel offers a nice terrace with a view: it’s a real treat to have breakfast there or drink a glass of wine, watching the sun set (but you first need to sort the drink out, as the hotel doesn’t offer any food/drinks).

The online check-in was a little bit difficult.

The location is very good (next to the Kurpark and to the Kirnitzschtalbahn). The staff was very helpful and friendly. The kitchen is very well equipped. We got a free guest card for the local public transport. Nice historical building.

No airco but the room is not too warm in summer time. I had to pay tourist taxes separately (which is fine) but it's never explained that it's part of the checkout procedure. So I was puzzled and even searched on the internet how to do so.

The hotel without the staff. But everything is working perfectly! Great idea of a shared coffee place with microwave, coffee machine, teapot and fridges where you can put your food and have free coffee anytime in lobby with other travellers. Smart and cozy! Really nice location in front of the park. Beautiful cozy room. And a great location.

I arrived very late and had to use a code to get my key but that was not the fault of the hotel, just i arrived after 10pm.

My room was excellent, quiet and comfortable, I liked staying at Sigl's very much and have rebooked in June! Great location opposite the park, very quiet at night. Very good facilities with free coffee and tea. Reception staff were very helpful and polite during my stay.

The automatic email notifications from the hotel were a bit confusing, and not very user-friendly. Many links on their website didn't work (e.g., for the online payment).

The digital integration with booking was not good. Not clear that the reservation number was the keycode needed to get in. Also extra tax charge appeared at checkout. When paid I still was not able to check out. Very frustrating experience
