Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkGoogle Maps had some trouble finding the hotel, which caused a bit of confusion. Additionally, the hotel is situated a little bit far from the walking street, which might be inconvenient for some guests.
I recently stayed at Hotel Fruerlund and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located close to the main road, making it easy to access. The staff were very nice and welcoming, and the breakfast was good. The rooms were very clean, which added to the overall comfort of the stay. Additionally, there was free parking available, which was very convenient.

United StatesI had great difficulty finding the hotel due to road construction and road closures in the area, with which my GPS Navigator had difficulty dealing. The receptionist was very helpful in helping me navigate to the hotel but it took several attempts.

United KingdomLast minute booking at one of very few options available after a difficult day on the trains necessitated a change of plans. But an unexpected treat, I was in a family apartment (to the right of the main picture on the Booking.com listing), the rest of the hotel is a more standard layout. The room was very spacious and well equipped with en suite. The twenty minutes walk into town is through a residential area and pleasant enough. The attached Greek restaurant is very good with the local pilsner on tap and reasonable prices - vegans might struggle however.

NetherlandsI recommend the hotel to invest a bit of money is better pillows. What they offered in our room is below any acceptance. They were flat pillows without any volume. Had a bad night sleep because of that.
3 separate beds, good size room and good bathroom facilities

DenmarkThe beds were very squeaky. The Greek restaurant served a gyro salad that was swimming in a terrible pink sauce/dressing. It wasn't eatable, but we still paid for it.
Silent area close to Flensburg. Very clean apartment and good beds, pillows, and covers. Lovely Greek restaurant where we had a good tzatiki and bread. And the lamb was also okay.

United KingdomLocal road closures, not known to Google, made finding Freurland a tad difficult, but this was not the hotel's fault! The shower was small and the 3-part shower door was a bit flimsy, but kept the floor dry on the outside... only for thin people! Would have preferred a room with double bed and private bathroom, but nobody else was staying there, so was not an issue.
Parking was very free and easy. Quiet location despite being right next to 199 main road, because of the sound deadening wall along the elevated road. Beautiful Dionysios Greek restaurant is attached to the hotel, owned by the same excellent Greek people. Very clean inside. Has it's own breakfast room.

DenmarkWe had no issues with the staff nor facilities at the hotel.
When we arrived late to our stay here, tired from a long day of travelling, we were met with the most kind worker at the desk. Ready to accomdate our needs, and offer us breakfast if needed even tho we didnt tell them we wanted any. We had to leave really early, so we didnt get the breakfast, but they are very eager to please their customers as well as having such nice room. We could've cried from how nice the room was when we entered. Beautiful clean white bedding, towels and even chocolate laid out for us on our pillows. Big room, big windows overlooking the parking lot with the morning sun shining in, close to city centrum (but still quiet), big bathroom with the best cleaning/cleanliness that we have seen in a hotel like this. Vey impressed and happy with our stay. We will definitely be returning when we have time for it! Thank you again to the very kind man at the desk.

Denmarkwe unfortunately arrived later than 10pm and were told we should have been there earlier. The price from booking.com did not match the price at the place. In fact they charged us +50% and without our knowledge. We got 25€ back, the rest were apparently hidden in parking fees and taxes.
