The self check-in machine is quite slow. The room has one window and no A/C, so in summer it was difficult to have good ventilation.

It's a good location: within walking distance from the train station, within walking distance from the city center, and there is a bus stop across the street, from where you can go to Drachenschluct or Warburg. Building is interesting, it's a former brewery. There is a vending machine with drinks, including local beer.

The location is near to the city center and the shower is very good. There's also a kitchen that's useful.

The check in was a nightmare. I booked minutes before at Booking.com and the check in machine didn't recognize my reservation. There was no one to help, and that was somewhat stressfull.

Rooms to the main street are quite noisy when the windows are open. Staff really not on site in the evenings and at night. We forgot the key card in the building and there is a machine that distributes a replacement, but the PIN is not identical to the one in the Booking.com app, but is sent by the hostel in a separate email. Fortunately hostel wifi reaches outside the building.

Breakfast was a buffet that could be booked additionally on site. Reasonable choices of cereal, yoghurt, milk, fruit juices, cheeses and cold cuts as is customary in Germany. Staff on site only from morning until early afternoon. Helpful with questions about the closure of the hiking trail in the Dragonschlucht (it is still possible and detour trail is clearly marked.)

when I made the reservation, I indicated that I would arrive at 2 o'clock in the morning. when I arrived at the hostel, the automatic check-in booth was closed and I stayed outside that night. without total responsibility no one answered. I spent a lot of phone because I was roaming. no one does answer. and the next day I went for a consultation, they treated me extremely badly. I do not recommend it to anyone

Road facing rooms extremely noisy, especially in summer when windows need to be left open for draft. Disappointing that staff didn’t alert us to room upgrade from 4 to 6 beds prior to arrival, such that we could have cancelled second room (travelling in group of 5).

Extremely clean, comfortable and modern. Everything was automated, which is great in theory except there were no instructions on how to use the Wi-Fi in the room and no one was answering the phone. I imagine this can be quite a problem if there's an issue with a key or similar.

Because of the location we did hear a lot of sirens one of the nights. That made it difficult to sleep with an open window.

The young man at the reception was extremely helpful and pleasant. He went out of his way to help us solve several urgent problems that popped up during our stay. We loved the bathrooms, especially the showers. They were very clean. We liked that there was a kitchen on our floor. The rooms were fairly spacious.
