Louis is an amazing host, very welcoming, and full of advices about the area and the mill. Fantastic breakfast with great breads, and they are ready to prepare you a lot of different things (cheese, fruits, eggs, organic spreads). The teas were high quality. The room was spacious an comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and nice.

Timo and Bernd are fantastic hosts who will make you feel at home immediately. Their service was exceptional, breakfast was amazing and the surroundings were beautiful and quiet. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We were amazed by the beauty and serenity of their garden. They are inspiring people with such admirable creativity and talent. The stay almost felt magical. We really look forward to coming back in the future.

We had read that Hofgut Holzmuhle was a working grain and flour mill. But we were a little surprised upon arrival by the multi story industrial tower that formed one side of the courtyard. But that initial surprise was genuinely forgotten as we settled into our beautiful room and explored the courtyard and surrounding area.

Such a comfortable, restful, beautifully decorated room, with modern comforts and character. The breakfast each morning was lavish with specialty breads, baked goods, fruit, salmon, eggs; and hand crafted specialty coffees. Our hosts were welcoming with great recommendations for day trips and local restaurants. We spent our last morning exploring the extensive gardens.

This small boutique hotel is simply amazing - beautiful, spacious, comfortable. Everything is thought of to the smallest detail. The place is decorated in a very interesting fusion style, reminding of Europe, Africa and Asia, integrating the history of this old mill. The garden is an absolute must-visit. Don't miss the fabulous breakfast and the local shop. The owners and rest of staff were very kind, genuinely interested in their guests' comfort and feedback. We are looking forward to the next occasion to stay here.

Elegantly presented and delicious breakfast with an assortment of breads, cheeses, meats, eggs, and fresh organic juices, etc. Very friendly staff and beautifully decorated accommodation. On site store sells various organic flours and other seeds and grains.

Not an "unlike" but simply a word of advice to future guests arriving in the evening: it's preferable and much easier to arrive by 20:00 or 20:15 or so, and to alert the team of any delays due to traffic, etc.

Our room was very comfortable and attractive: thank you for the cold beverages and two cozy chairs for chatting. I wish we'd had more time to sit and enjoy the excellent breakfast, as well. Parking is straightforward, and the setting overall is a charming mix of Industrial + Farmhouse Chic. I would absolutely stay here again and have already recommended it to family.
