The place was very good and the staff very welcoming and helpful. They have additional facilities like an outdoor fire oven for pizzas and sauna which was amazing. The kitchen is fully equipped. Great place to stay and unwind

I had a wonderful stay at the hostel in Kurort Rathen. It's a simple and friendly place, surrounded by magical, fairy-tale-like nature. The beds were comfortable, everything was very clean, and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and cozy stay close to nature!

Not much not to like it was a little way off the Maleveg which we were walking but we were aware of that and it seemed the best option available

Very well run hostel with good facilities clean room and shared showers. Lots of places to eat in and outside. Lights and power over bed. Friendly helpful staff and sold emergency food as no shops in the area

The room was tiny, and not well designed, so not good use of space. The facilities (shared toilets and kitchen) is not suitable for the amount of people that uses them. So it was always full and crowded. Also, just next to the kitchen there are game tables like table tennis, so that adds to the cheos of the kitchen... I didn't enjoy making dinner and spending my time there unfortunately.

The staff was amazing. Very friendly and nice. The place is beautiful with great garden outside.

There’s a very short window for check-in/ checkout/breakfast. If you need say, a towel outside of 4-7pm you won’t get one.

The staff was kind and welcoming, they even let us check in several hours before their official check-in. Other than that the hostel has a great location if you want to go hiking and explore the beautiful landscape. They even offer free ferry tickets. We don’t have any complaints

I loved that the dorm room was not bunks. It was all single beds on ground level.

Stairs to second floor is very steep and if you sleep in the room at the top you have to go down to the toilet.

Very friendly place, the way hostels used to be. Beautiful location. It has a kitchen if you want to cook or there is a restaurant just a kilometer away.

The kitchen was in a different building from the rooms. The lights in the shower as well as the water turn off automatically which is an inconvenience. Relatively poor internet connection (able to support a voice/video call but with poor quality at times)

Very friendly staff, very spacious common area and well-equipped kitchen. They even had board games! Clean rooms. Great location. Towels available for a €2 fee.

Beautiful, independently run place in an amazing location. The facilities left nothing to be desired, exactly what you want from a hostel - good wifi, good kitchen facilities, clean beds and bathrooms, friendly staff - all in top shape. The dog is an added bonus!! And they get you a pass for the local ferry for the duration of your stay.

The hostel was spotless clean! I stayed at the 10 bed dorm which was on the attic floor. It was very hot outside but there was a stand fan in the room which helped a lot. The bed was soft and comfy with charging points behind the bed. The location is great. It is 15 mins by foot to the station from where there are regular trains to Dresden. Also 15 mins to the ferry which takes you across the river. You get a guest card where the cost of the ferry is included. The shared bathroom was also very clean. Overall an amazing stay!

Amazing hidden gem! The facilities were really clean and they went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. They helped us with all our queries and it felt like we were staying with family. We had a pizza party in the evening, they were extremely generous with everything.
