An interior upgrade would make the stay more pleasant....(room carpet looked old and unclean, duvets and pillows could also do with an upgrade).

If you stay there, just have dinner somewhere else. The food is just ok and the waiting time was over an hour both times we dined there. With two young kids it was almost unbearable. I asked my steak medium, it was almost well done. Ice-cream portion for my kid came way too small but we still had to pay as for two full scoops.

We’ve got a big good room, all was very clean and cosy. Also a perfect location for our trip: 15 min drive to the Steinwasen park, 30 min to Freiburg, 30 min to the Titisee.

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room but we were able to get drinks, tea and coffee from the bar. We were surprised that you couldn't pay with credit card but luckily had brought a debit card with us.

The room, balcony and view were excellent. Food was delicious. Easy to find and free parking .

Big miss is No Lift and no help to carry the luggage to all the way to 3rd floor which has longer steps to reach with kids it was really difficult.

Space was big enough and location is amazing with clean rooms. Breakfast is good. staff's are great. In ratings its between Good and Very good

The hotel is really nice and clean. We really enjoyed our stay. Dinner was delicious, we had the pasta.

Breakfast is served between 8-10, however if you make it there around 9 or after there are not many food options left. Especially a concern if due to food allergy you have nothing left to eat. I’d recommend replenishing. But then there was only one person attending to the whole breakfast area and the hotel was full plus people were checking out at the same time. So busy for just one individual.

Beautiful location, nice view of the mountains. Short drive or walk to the suspension bridge and the waterfall. Nice hikes starting in the backyard. We stayed in the main building but they have 4 chalets which can sleep up to 8 people.

It is surprising how small choice vegetable they serve at breakfasts all over Germany, this place had 2 - tomato and cucumber, but taking into consideration that it is a warm region, one could expect paprika, green salads, etc

All the staff were lovely. Self service bar with reasonable prices and basic but good rooms. Excellent meals (including wild boar and deer) in the restaurant though somewhat limited selection. Sauna has fantastic views. We plan to return for another stay.

The place is beautiful and the view is amazing. The cabin is clean and equipped with everything you can imagine. Anders the manager was kind and the communication with him was easy. He was very helpful.

Two things we missed in the room were a tea kettle and a small fridge. The latter could be compensated by an always open bar, but there was no kettle there either.

Herrihof has nice views over the Todtnau valley and surrounding mountains. You can dine in either a nicely decorated historical setting or an addition with extensive views. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast. The room we were in was well equipped with comfortable beds. Notable was also the very pleasant staff, at the reception, waiters in the restaurant, up to the cook.
