There were several buildings for Gwuni. I was on the third floor of the Bach building and the kitchen was on the first floor of the Chopin building, so there was lots of climbing! It would be nice if they could add more lights on the stairwell for the Bach building as it was dark. Also, it was very hot when I was there and the rooms need fans to cool things down.

I loved how close Gwuni B & B was to the town center. The staff were very friendly. The B & B was eclectic and original- beautiful courtyard in the center.

Pictures of the rooms are not the same as shown on booking. Bathroom for my room was way smaller than is shown on here. Phone number on booking.com is incorrect!! Please correct this. There's no way to contact them if something happens while reception is closed. It would be nice if an explanation or pictures of what goes in the different trash containers is placed to help people know how to recycle properly.

While the breakfast was excellent, and the location was good, the climb to the top floor (5 flights) was difficult for my family of septuagenarians, We should have asked for a place on a lower floor. The apartment itself was nice, the bathroom was luxurious, the kitchen was less than ideal.

A large room in a lovely old building, with access to shared bathroom, toilet and kitchen-dining room. It was quiet, relatively central - perfect for the Gewandhaus and Opera - and it had a proper Reception desk with friendly staff. Great for those who like atmosphere, less so for those who want a lift and the latest design features.

Awesome building, in a very centra area of Leipzig, must have been renovated recently, my room was fresh new! The hotel has lots of community space and services, which I haven't use, but you might. Room is cosy, very clean and spacious, mine had bed and living area, together with an entrance and a big bathroom. Plus 1 for not making a fuss cause I came with a bike without actually say that before, next time I'll advise before. Only materasses could be a bit better.

Clean with a comfortable bed ... shared bathroom was spotless. Price was very fair for my 2 nights . Would definitely stay again . Close to centre of Leipzig and 10/12 mins walk to Leipzig hbf. Would have no hesitation at all staying again. Never had breakfast so can't comment on that but eating area looked nice and quirky . No complaints at all. Lady on reception spoke perfect English and was very helpful .

This marble of life combines accommodation, eating out, cultural events, atmospheric dining, cigar smoking, having a drink, etc. etc. in a fantastic retro-style building complex with large rooms, high sealings, herbs and roses blooming in the garden. It comes with shared bathrooms - featuring a washing machine (!) - and a large and well equipped kitchen - plus a separate bar with an interior right out of a movie and a separate diner. The room we got was huge, so we were impressed.

If you need an absolutely quiet night and morning, request a room away from the staircase. The historic architecture of the building brings some noise with it. There's nothing one can do about it. The only really negative thing was the sofa in the room, full of stains and disgusting. It surely has to be exchanged.

The cleaning. There were around 6 rooms on our floor. And we were all sharing 2 toilets and a shower. Nobody cleaned the toilets in my 5 days stay. They were very dirty at some point, and that was disgusting. I got stuck outside on my first night as they always close the main entrance and you were supposed to use the "Night Entrance" which was not clear at all! This should be communicated by reception during check-in, which, in my case it didn't happen. Also, one of the ladies at reception seemed unfriendly, but she helped me out with my doubts after all

Location was the best. Very well connected with tram stops nearby. The highlight for me was the shared kitchen on our floor, which was great to cool stuff on the fridge, cook, and microwave meals. Also having a green space with trees and birds singing in front of the hotel was very nice in the morning when you open the window.

The room was on the 4th floor and we were staying with a 2 years old kid. Since the building has no elevator, we had to climb with a stroller and luggage which was exhausting.
