We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Hong KongThe hosts are friendly and hospitable. They offered to pick us up and send us to the train station at our arrival and departure, and gave small gifts to our kids when we left. The house is close to train station (about 10 min walk) and town centre (about 10-15 min walk). There is a nice pool that kids will surely enjoy. A big garden with fruit trees, blossoms of flowers and so. House is nice and neat and well equipped.

United KingdomNice cosy self-contained apartment off the main property with garden seating and bbq options. Really appreciated the pick-up from the station and the local snacks on arrival. Near a large supermarket and about 10-15mins from the historic Old Town. Enjoyed the Mooskopf hike, which is the one that's really worth doing when in this area.

We stayed for 3 nights. Owner was friendly and helpful, she even came to the train station to pick us, which was really extra service and much appreciated. The location is quiet and not far from town and we enjoyed the short walk to the town centre. Some reviewers commented that the the place is not clean but we found the place to be clean and tidy and up to our expectations. And at the price that we pay, I would say it’s really value for money.

RomaniaThe fact that we booked for 2 adults and 1 child of 9 yers old, but we received confirmation for only 1 adult. It is true that when receiving the confirmation from Gut Mullerleile I only checked the period and the amount. So, I only found out the issue of the number of persons when arriving at the property. We paid in advance for 5 nights 400 euros, which is 80 euros/night. The host asked for 60 euros per night more in order to accomodate the 3 of us, which means 75% more than the initial price. You can judge by yourself how exaggerated this request was! I got in touch with Booking Romania on phone and asked for verifying my initial booking, hoping that the mistake can be identified in your files. But the answer was negative. Booking Romania offered to get in touch with the host but could not obtain any satisfying solution. As we were with a child, tired after the journey, we decided to stay only one night paying the extra 60 euros and to be reimbursed the remaining amount ( 400 euros for 5 days paid in advance, which is 80 euros per night plus 60 euros for 3 persons per night= 140 euros for 1 night; the amount to be reimbursed would have been 260 euros) but the host did not accept. Finally the host reduced his overall request for extra payment to 200 euros for the 5 nights and 3 persons, and we accepted and paid this amount directly to him, without any receipt. Please note that the whole process took more than 3 hours. It was a very unpleasent and bad experience. I am a client of Booking.com for many years but never had encountred such a situation. I would be grateful if you could trace where the mistake came from. Other issues during the stay: - the child bed was unconfortable and without sheets; the pillow was almost flat - toilett paper was not added when finished - old towels
The view on the garden and that it was enough space in the house. Also the parking at the property.
