How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).

Not that I didn’t like it but you should be aware the hotel is situated in the countryside. It is only 15 minutes drive from Luneberg but you will need a car to get anywhere. We ate one night at the Michelin star restaurant which is only open currently Tues to Sat. As it is an expensive experience you would probably only want one meal there. Otherwise you will need to go to Luneberg or somewhere in the other direction to eat dinner. There is nowhere on site for a coffee or refreshments although the bedrooms are well stocked.
This is an old stud farm which has been partially demolished, added on to and remodelled as a small luxury hotel to the highest standard. Architecturally inside and out is exceptional. The bedroom we had was on the ground floor in the annex with a terrace and opened up to an expanse of greenery and fields.

Rural secluded location but within easy reach of Lüneberg by car or bike. Tastefully converted to a very comfortable hotel with spacious bedroom.

The room was a bit hot (no A/C or fan), and the curtains were not black out... also the TV didn't work, but we didn't care The restaurant is good but very overpriced.
Beautiful place! The location is so peaceful, the park, everything is perfect. The room was gorgeous, and breakfast was delicious!!

Maybe as next step of renovation would be interesting to introduce a charging station for electrical cars! And a check to the WiFi too: the connection didn't work for most of our stay. Othewise, nothing "negative" to say about the hotel, only the other guests are always the problem: as the structure allows dogs, it would be nice if those who come with them also clean after they took them for a walk in the garden: it's just a matter of respect! And be aware of the smoke detectors and rules could avoid alarms and visit of the firebrigade!!!!
The location is wonderful: very quiet place with a huge garden and well organized in general. A lot of parking free spots. The house in which we stayed was very well decorated, with style: totally enjoyable. Our room was big and well furnished also with style and very comfortable. Very spacious bathroom too. The wellness area is maybe a little bit too small compared to the dimensions of the hotel, but we have been lucky and we could fully enjoy it too. Breakfast included was a plus: quite good buffet, classical German style.

Other than the pool there were not a lot to do for children. I really hate hotel rooms with a view of the bathroom.
The amenities were nice and clean and the breakfast was very good. Staff was very pleasant.

It was cheaper than hotels in Lüneburg but still quite expensive.
Nice location. Very good people on the staff, all very helpful and friendly. Beautiful hotel in a rural location. The hotel is easy to reach by car and car parking is plentiful and free. The facilities are excellent and the food divine. Unlike many German hotels, this one provided a good kettle in the room as well as free water and a mini-bar.

I did not like that I could not stay longer...
My dog loved the treats they had waiting for him in the room, he at the whole bag as quickly as possible. And as far as treats for humans, at breakfast, they had CRISPY bacon and I had to keep myself from eating all of it. In Europe, it is RARE to get crispy bacon, it is usually very undercooked by American standards. Oh, and the room was super nice! There was a big window and patio overlooking an open grassy area which was very calming. The bed was very comfortable. Awesome shower with excellent water pressure. Really a fabulous place.

Well kept, modern with old charm, this old farm house is tastefully renovated, what I liked most about this place was its service, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, something which is very refreshing to have our country. Its far out, and not much around which is precisely the point of this place.

The curtains in room number 10 have no black properties at all. For a four star, I would expect a kettle in the room. Desperately need air-conditioning. From my three nights stay I’ve got more mosquito bites due to having the window open than I did spending two weeks in the Caribbean.
The setting is absolutely idyllic! The layout is really good. The restaurant is beautiful
