Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No room cleaning over a five day stay. Shower was inconsistent hot / cold.
Great location, nice room, friendly staff. Nice touch were the complimentary coffees and snacks close to the lobby.

Even though our room was 118 (I think), we were on the 3rd floor and there is no lift! Also our room was located right beside a main road (behind the hotel), so was very noisy with traffic for many hours which made it difficult to sleep :(
Hotel is in a great location (the middle of town), beds were comfortable and we really appreciated the free hot drinks (including good strong coffee) & ice creams as well as the pastries & biscuits!

There was not a desk in the room we were in. Made it a little difficult to sit at a computer and connect in with families/work far away.
Close proximity to the city center. Easy to park in local parking and get to the hotel. Breakfast room well equipped and a good breakfast.

The front door was locked at various time during our stay. It was only to be locked at 10:00p.m.
A great hotel directly in the middle of the city. You can walk right outside your door for restaurants cafes and shops.

The hotel is located in a fantastic spot right on the main square. I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but the area where it's served is available throughout the day, making it a great place to relax with coffee or tea and enjoy a delicious biscuit as a treat.

Water in room but no bottle opener as it had a crimped cap. Was advised it screwed off but it didn't! No tea or drink making facilities which was a disappointment rather than a travesty!
Nice clean well heated room with a comfortable bed. Nice bathroom and a good supply of hot water, almost instant! Good choices at buffet breakfast with both hot and cold food available. Nice coffee too! Staff were very polite and helpful. Will stay again!

No tea/coffee facilities in room, some of the decor was not properly finished. Reception needs to be manned fully in the day, staff were brilliant but obviously covering a multitude of roles and a big thinly spread

It seems that some rooms don’t have a toilet which wasn’t clear during the booking process. Had to buy a room upgrade after the booking. No one greeted us for breakfast, staff was just standing around the front office desk. When we checked out it felt awkward to interrupt the staff’s smalltalk.
Breakfast was good nonetheless. Guy from checkin was friendly and polite
