Everything, the location is right in the of town, the food was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable (if a little dated but that doesn't bother me). The staff were lovely. I'd stay there again without hesitation.

This is a lovely old fashioned inn in a wonderful medieval town, which is a delight to stroll around and take pictures. Also had a delightful beer garden.

Not much. The bathroom was a little bit cold, even with the radiator at maximum. Besides that everything was good.

The room was spacious and comfortable. It's located very central in the old town of Ochsenfurt. The staff was exceptional friendly. Breakfast/food was good.

Very helpful staff. On arrival my booking had not been received. The Hotel was initially able to accommodate me for 2 of 3 nights, and they immediately made arrangements with a nearby hotel for me to stay on the 3rd night. In fact the following morning, they received a cancellation, and it was not necessary for me to relocate. Easy to find on the main street in the historic old town, and yet only about 5 minutes walk from the railway station. Very traditional property, my room had some fairly creaky floorboards. Buffet / help yourself breakfast. Would recommend.

People have mentioned the cooking smells but you get used to it! It would have been great to have a kettle in the room but it was fine to buy a tea and take it to the room.

great location and very friendly staff (even with limited English there were plenty smiles!). “1x vegetarian” in the instructions had been translated as our whole party being vegan and the boss lady had gone out and bought lots of vegan options specifically!! The dinners are typical Franconian) good salads too) and the restaurant was always busy. The rooms are large and comfy and, though dated, are kept clean. The shower had good pressure and was always hot. There was free parking at the back of the hotel.

Location was super good 👌 food was amazing but less very small portion. Beer 🍺 was fantastic. Hotel is very old . It's was warm no airconditioning no fan. Shower is old extremely slow. But the city around Hotel was super 👌

The bathroom was ready for a bit of love and attention. The lime scale removed from the shower cubicle and a new sink tap would make a big difference. There were lots of lights in the room with lamp shades that could do with having some new lamp shades . And maybe a kettle tea/coffee in the room would be a good idea . These are not really complain just advise .

Beautiful old building in a quite small street . Friendly staff .very nice breakfast. Private parking & an area to sit outside . The food was very good in the restaurant with good prices. There was 2 comfortable chairs & a table which you don’t get in other B&B ‘s or hotels .

The Gasthof zum Kauzen was perfect for a quiet, relaxing holiday. It is easily reached by foot from the Ochsenfurt train station, and is located centrally in the town, with easy access to wineries, biking and hiking trails, as well as to shops and cafes. The restaurant in the guesthouse serves amazing home-cooked meals in traditional Franconian style. The guesthouse operators are welcoming, kind, and helpful. For an inexpensive and peaceful vacation, stay here and take the train or ride a bike into Wurzburg (rather than staying in Wurzburg).

Everything was outstanding

Beautiful location right in the middle of the town square. Very nice people. Our guests arrived 45 minutes late and they stayed after hours just to make sure they were comfortable. Breakfast was also very good.

Very good located, it has certainly a long history. Very friendly, also pet friendly. Breakfast was good. We were also dining here and also enjoying a local beer.

A quite traditional and a very comfy at the same time. All you wil need is there. The owner of the hotel (a real Lady) is always there to answer your questions. The cleaning is superb. The atmosphere is quite familiar and there were people that were there not for the first time. And why not, if the Wellcome and the quality meet each other. The last but not the least, the hotel suited quite well to the picturesque landscape and the traditional village.

First it was dirty, it was a combination of old and dirty. Bathroom was not clean, was very cold in the room, windows were dirty and the smell was a combination of old plus with the smell that was coming from the kitchen was horrible. The smell of cooking from the kitchen was coming up in the room and was not nice.

Room was big and in good location.
