How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

This hotel is perfectly situated for a stay the night before a flight out of Munich. The airport is nearby and easily accessible and yet Freising has a relaxing vibe with excellent walking opportunities. We enjoyed walking through the university gardens and the riverside pathway. The room and beds were quite comfortable and clean. I greatly enjoyed dinner in the biergarten, and the breakfast was excellent. I will definitely come again when traveling out of Munich.

I don’t particularly like carpeted bedrooms and the flight of concrete stairs were a bit stained.
Centrally located. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was good with a wide selection. Though the restaurant was closed for dinner I heard from a friend who lives locally that the food is quite good.

The elevator worked fine but there were a few steps we could not avoid. I did not book a handicapped room so don’t know if that would change. On this trip, I had favored my knee and hip which made steps more difficult.
The room is well appointed, large window overlooking a neighborhood and backyard, breakfast was delightful, host was helpful and easy to find. Reasonable pricing and location to the Munich airport makes it a perfect spot fora last night. There is a restaurant on site but while running an errand, we found a pretty amazing Bavarian restaurant with a view of the valley, good food and even better beer with a km or so. Nice town, too. We had visited The Dachau Memorial and needed a calm stop. This hotel was perfect for time to reflect.

Wonderful staff and an excellent breakfast! It's close to the Munich airport (15-20 minute drive) and a 10-minute walk to the oldest brewery in the world.

I couldn't be more impressed with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that I felt at home right away. The check-in process was seamless, and I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful welcome amenities in my room. The room itself was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated, offering all the modern comforts I could ask for. The bed was so comfortable, and I had the best night's sleep during my stay. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch. Breakfast was a delightful experience with a wide variety of delicious options, and the restaurant staff was incredibly friendly. The location of the hotel was also perfect, with easy access to local attractions, shops, and dining spots. This isn’t really a negative, but travelers should know it’s 2 bus rides from the airport.
The hotel was right on the bus line from the bus station in Freising - an affordable option for travel from the Munich Airport. My room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The man who checked me in was welcoming and pleasant. Breakfast staff very nice too!

with this price I would expect rooms are better furnished/equipped, especially the bathroom.
Free parking and delicious breakfast definitely add some points. Location is good enough. Rooms are a little small from my perspective but acceptable.
