We spent a night in the Gastof Engel in Ravensburg. The hotel was great. We had booked a double room but ended up in what was effectively a small suite. It was very tidy and well kept and had a huge amount of space. Everything was clean, The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom was also large. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The hotel is over a restaurant (part of the hotel) and we had a very nice meal there.  The hotel is very well located with a 10/15 minute walk from the train station and is right in the centre of Ravensburg. The city is small and very beautiful and interesting. The Humpis Quartier Museum is well worth a visit, as is the Ravenberger Museum, close by, especially if you have young people in your group. We also climbed to the top of the tower in the center of the city where we had wonderful views of the surrounding area.  We would certainly recommend a stay in the Gastof Engels.

Excellent location. Lovely accommodation - Clean and comfortable room which was nice and big. Centrally located so easy to wander around. Staff were excellent - really helpful and friendly - Nothing was too much trouble. Food was really good and plentiful. Excellent value for money and would definitely stay again.

The location is in the middle of the old town, so great for enjoying Ravensburg, but your car needs to be parked a bit further away. Thea breakfast was nice and sufficient. Would stay there again :)

There is no elevator and it is not written here on Booking. I have serious problems with my back: fortunately when I arrived a nice waiter offered to carry my heavy luggage for 2 floors; while when checking out the lady at the reception was surprised I asked to be helped and she claimed she had back pain too. Not a nice behavior. In general, all the staff is not smiling and they seem to be unhappy to see you. They haven’t an ironing service and don’t suggest any place to have it done.

Quite new, very clean. The room was as in picture. Good breakfast but not a buffet: they gave you a paper and you have to write what you want and how many pieces. Not nice you had to ask for anything… The restaurant is quite good: I had 2 dinners there. Good position, just at the end of the city center.

- No Parking (on the website they say, there is parking, but there was not!) - You have to write this correctly or offer a solution. It was very bad and we had to go find parking - Bad smell in the hotel because of the restaurant in the ground floor - We have ordered a double room (we have expected ONE big bed), instead of this we had two bigger beds. It was okay for just one night, bur for more than one night is this a no go, when you have ordered one double room - Staff was not so friendly - No elavator (we had to go all the way up with a big lagguage and may steps) - For the price we paid, we expected it to be that way.
