The rooms are a little tired and need refurbishment, but everything functions and for this price you won’t find better.

Location is excellent, in the centre of the city near the cathedral, but on a quite pedestrian street away from the noise. Breakfast was good and well presented, staff owners super friendly.

The walls and floors are a little thin so you hear whenever other guests leave or enter their rooms. At times, the entire floor shook because someone closed the door. This woke me up several times. Another thing that could be improved is the breakfast. I am vegetarian but they prepare breakfast plates for all guests, which also contain some slices of meat. Throwing out this meat was not the best feeling and could be prevented by offering two or three different breakfast options (normal, vegetarian, vegan). Breakfast opens at eight, which is comparatively late - I had a meeting at nine so there was not too much time to enjoy the otherwise niceely prepared and tasty food.

Small and familial setup. My room had a big bed and a clean and spatious bath room. All I needed for one night. The location is excellent, very close to the old town.

The nice historical exterior was not so much reflected on the inside. The bathroom was OK and clean, but felt a bit like an institution. There was no staff at the property on arrival and I had to call a phone number posted on the window. However the receptionist came in just a few minutes to help with check in so it worked out.

The gasthaus was very well situated close to the city centre and the Christmas market. Large room with comfortable bed. It was practical, fairly recently renovated and clean and the hotel receptionist was very nice and arranged earlier breakfast for me the second day since I had a morning train to catch. Good breakfast buffet.

I don't like being negative about people, but the woman who checked us in and who served breakfast was not hospitable. The check-in process is awful. If you can't call German numbers, you're basically screwed.

Location is fantastic. You're surrounded by historic buildings and close to everything. Rooms were modern and large and clean. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was tasty. Wife was strong.

There wasn’t a proper reception and you had to ring a number, but someone came straight away and was on site if there was a problem.

Stayed in a lovely room with it’s own turret! Large, comfortable room not far from the Cathedral. Good buffet breakfast. Tea and coffee making facilities and a secure place to leave bicycles. Close to good restaurants.

As it’s a small guesthouse, the reception is not manned. It was in the small print to call ahead with an ETA, but probably should be more prominent. Also, the landline number displayed on the door does not exist, but the mobile number on the booking reference was correct.

Location in centre of Speyer right next to the Dom and walkable distance to the Rhine. Good parking but have to pay before 6pm and after 8am- if you overpay at night it carries forward to the following day.

Great location in Speyer, parking available in an adjacent parking lot, nice breakfast. As any European city, parking is an issue. Evening/night parking is free, however, the parking meter had to be paid by 8 in the morning. The hotel is a lovely and quiet old building. No elevator.

The curtains were semi-tranparent and let some light in the room during the night. The floor makes some noise, but this did not bother us.

We stayed one night here. The accomodation is around the corner from the church and there is a big parking behind it (paid parking between 08-18h). The room itself was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was okay with decent choice.

There was no hint of this being Spanish by way of food or ownership when we booked it. We did not expect to book a tradition "German looking" guesthouse to have ALL Spanish food and Spanish language problems. The room had a layer of dust on all surfaces on arrival but rectified by staff. Menu is all Spanish food as is your breakfast - Like it or not! WiFi was very poor for paying the bill contactlessly. And if you're a light sleeper ... BEWARE the BELLS!

Parking was stressful, car park next to Guest house has a barrier that is ALWAYS locked to you're into one way streets etc etc to find the other entrance! We liked the location (well apart from the Cathedral bells [Several sets] going all through the night) and the town has lots to offer including the Speyer Technic Museum. The room was good once it had been cleaned ...
