Bathroom needs refurbishment, old linens, Remoteness of the hotel (we had to take a taxi just to get to the hotel after 11 p.m)

We were cycling to the hotel and didn't realise it was at the top of a very steep hill. When we arrived we discovered the restaurant was closed so there was no way of getting an evening meal

The property is very tired and could do with a makeover. I would describe as a travelling worker’s accommodation, although at the time of writing, most were holidaymakers. The room was clean and serviced daily. Breakfast was v good, the restaurant was good with acceptable prices. Large carpark.

The bedroom really wasn't as nice as made to look on the Booking pictures. The duvets were too thin and the bedroom was cold. I have had much better for the price. I guess it still did the job after all.

The breakfast was quite nice and the beds were comfortable.

Upon arrival hotel looks run down, there is no reception and no warm welcome, I had to call a number and the keys were in a safe. It's not a hotel, it's all sort of studios. There was no bar, luckily there was a bottle of water. If you are just looking for a good night sleep then this is good, of you are looking for a cosy hotel, then don't go here. Too expensive for what it was !

A great place to stay if you are an exercise lover, or in need of exercise. Alternatively you can get a bus/taxi from the centre.

The manager is very accommodating and goes that extra mile every time. The room and ensuite were very clean. A very reasonable price for a hotel so close to the centre. The breakfast was fresh, very good and replenished. Highly recommend. We are going to return.

Everything, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Save your money and book in another hotel

We didn't see any staff, we called and were shown around by phone. The rooms are very dirty and smell like sewer. We had difficulty showering because there was mold everywhere, and the air ventilation was full.

At around the age of 50, having travelled around ten percent of the globe, I have an immense experience as to hotels. And having stayed at Berghof by 42, here say I, it is no way an 8/10 venue as claimed on this platform. Other than cleanliness, no single aspect of it deserves a 7, let alone 8+ in total. We stayed here two nights. Neither its far and elevated location, nor its spartan rooms, its supermini and superlow sink, nor its cold coffees at breakfast… Neither the unavailability of decaf caffee, nor its broken sockets, wastebins with broken lids, nor the inadequate horitontal surfaces / hanging points for your articles… Neither were the signs of our understanding of an 8+. Perhaps it was only our room, I cannot be sure (Maybe the other rooms were of better standard), but what I experienced was not 8, but around 5.

Both the hotel and its neighborhood were quiet, the room was clean, and the quality of the toilet paper was well above the average of 2-/3-star hotels.

A really nice, clean and cosy little hotel with a good restaurant and a nice quiet location. Very friendly people. Dog friendly also. I travelled with a dog. I would definitely go again. I had my own entrance but it depends which room you have.

it wasn’t an hotel it was just a couple of bedrooms out of a house. no front desk nor hotel appearance. The owner had issues with his POS machine - poor signal - and started screaming and requesting another credit card.
