It's a not big issue but if they have a lift, that is easy to carry suitcase to upstairs.

This guesthouse is just steps from the main street with shopping and restaurants, yet very quiet and offers great mountain views from the comfortable rooms. There is also a popular coffee shop just around the corner. There is ample parking and Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station is 25 minutes away. There is also a bus stop close to the guesthouse. All staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. We were given a welcome drink and a delicious freshly cooked breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel for just one day, but we absolutely loved it! The room was very clean and cozy, with a balcony that offered a stunning view of the mountains — truly breathtaking. Breakfast was included, and it was served by a very kind, friendly, and talkative gentleman who made the morning even more pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay, and I will definitely come back next time for a longer visit. The location is also wonderful — peaceful, beautiful, and convenient. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

It was a very cute altbauwohnung, at a walkable distance from the bahnhof. There was a nice little garden right outside with a narrow canal where we could sit and even dip our feet in water, which was very cool. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and thoughtful. The lady at the reception gave very nice insider tips on how to plan our visit to all the main attractions. I have to also give a special mention to the cleaning staff who went above and beyond to restock supplies and even fold laundry (totally unexpected, but very kind and thoughful). The breakfast spread was also freshly homemade and tasty. Overall, would recommend it totally.

No lift as it is a 300 year old house. No provision for making tea or coffee. The breakfast although tasty and has variety but is the same every day. Wish they could have some savoury options too.

The location with the view of Zugspitz from my balcony and river Loisa running by was the most amazing things about this stay. The breakfast was good and in a cosy place. Mr. Martin was a very nice host. The owner Mrs. Angela is a very generous lady and she gave me a water kettle on request. A very homely feeling.

Confortable and cozy place, decorated in the old Bavarian style. Very friendly stuff. Great breakfast, big variety. Close by to the Garmisch-Patenkirchen center. I felt at my home in this Gastehaus. If I have a chance to visit Garmisch-Patenkirchen again in the future, I would definatelly look for a room at this place again.

From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was on holiday. I was given a super warm welcome, a welcome drink and a good chat about what to do in Garmisch. I decided to go on a trip to Eibsee and then to the Zugspitze (this time by cable car). The room had a balcony with a view of the mountains, and in the morning I could see the Alpspitze and Zugspitze glowing as the sun rose. Afterwards I went to the super cosy Gaststube and had a very good breakfast buffet. The staff were always very nice, helpful and friendly. There was also a car park and the guesthouse was very easy to find. I would love to come back next time. Great house and great staff. Thank you very much.

The only downside for me was shared bathroom. Honestly I should have checked that before booking but I would have never imagined there will be shared bathroom. As far as I know there are rooms with their own bathroom so take care when picking the room. Also the building is a bit older, made of wood material and when someone walks the stairs and around you can hear basically everything, which might be disturbing for sleep. But overall really nice please.

The staff were so accommodating and friendly. They went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable; we were welcomed with a free mulled wine which made us relax into an unfamiliar place. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless. The buffet breakfast was also delicious.
