Room wise, the pillows were uncomfortable in my opinion. So light that you felt you were just sleeping on the bed without a pillow, which was surprising because the bed itself was very comfortable. Also, I had planned my day accordingly so I could leave my luggage in the hotel (a basic amenity in most places I have traveled to) and pick it up around 6 pm, when I booked my return train. Being next to the station, this was very convenient for my planning, so I wouldn't have to worry about it. Apparently 6 pm was too late, which leaves either the option of paying for a locker in the station, or having to stay near the city center so I can pick it up at an earlier time. Obviously no hotel is obliged to do this, but as long as you ask for a reasonable time (which to me at least, 6 was reasonable), this is something I have come to expect from most places I have stayed in, so it left me with a "bitter aftertaste" of my stay.

Nice and very clean rooms. Very good location if you want to be on that side of town, but also not far if you wanna go to the center.

The hotel is old and could use updating. We typically like hotel breakfasts, but the breakfast buffet here was significantly over priced compared to 20+ hotels we've stayed in since April. There was no kettle in the room so we had to buy one to have coffee/tea in our room.

I stayed only 1 night and I think is is quite OK for a short stay. The room was little bit old and not so beautiful or convenient, but still quite OK. The hotel is not far from the Deutz Messe train station and the tramway lines, which was my main criteria. A bunch of OK restaurants not far, especially the cuban restaurant I would recommend.

Due to the bundling being quite old the lift was very small so we struggled to fit two people and our bags into the lift but we could have gone separately so it wasn’t a big issue.

It was very cosy and felt very homely. The staff were lovely and the room was very clean and had everything we needed. We felt very safe and happy here and the beds were very comfortable! We really enjoyed our stay in such an authentic hotel and will definitely be back!

The hotels rooms décor was a little dated, but functional, they could do with providing USB charge sockets in the rooms and like most German Hotels they do not offer tea or coffee in the room, which as a frequent traveller and arriving late, are a nice to have in a room, and welcomed to be able to make drink after a day of travelling... If not maybe a coffee machine downstairs in the lobby ??

The hotels location was excellent as I was attending an event at Koln Messe, so good commute. The price was very reasonable and they had a good selection for breakfast. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Good WIFI that was easy to access and overall a lovely hotel to stay at for a short stay in Cologne. Vending machine at reception for water, soft drinks and snacks.

The lack of slippers was inconvenient. After walking all day, it was uncomfortable to walk around the room in boots again. There was also no toothbrush or toothpaste. Additionally, not having a kettle was a bit disappointing on cold days.

The hotel was generally good. The beds were comfortable, and the heating was sufficient. It was a 20-minute walk to Cologne Cathedral. Other places to visit were also easily reachable on foot. Getting from the airport to the hotel was also easy.
