GermanyI have found this a great hotel consistently for a 3-day stay. The staff are very kind and helpful. It is extremely well located as a starting point for hikes and bike tours. It is a short 5-minute walk from the hotel to a supermarket, several bakeries and cafés as well as a bike shop and a pharmacy. Highly recommended!

United KingdomI know it's an old building and it really is a challenge to find the way to equip it with AC system, but the owners are working on it. However, if there was an issue I wanted to mention as a disadvantage, room temperature control seems to be the only one. Bavarian summers are hot these days and on a hot day the room heats up to 25-27 degrees. The only solution hotel offers is a tower fan, but I'm afraid it is not enough to lower the temperature in the room and it makes a lot of noise. Opening windows and balcony door could have been an option, but then you face with a different problem - mosquitos. Most of my stay this time the nights were on a chillier side, so mosquitoes were less active and I could simply open the balcony door to reduce the temperature, however during my previous stays it was quite an issue. I never cared to check whether the hotel offers plug-in mosquito repellents, but I believe this could be a great idea during heatwaves.
Staff was attentive to details and willing to help. always super nice and accommodating to any request you may have. The restaurant downstairs is quite exceptional - with a great selection of wines and delicious dishes made of locally produced ingredients. I am a returning customer and will surely come back again.
