Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineThe shower cabin has an original design with transparent walls, practically inside the room. It’s interesting and not an issue if you are traveling as a couple or alone. For us, it was fine. We experienced some problems with the pipes — water started dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom. The first time we reported it early in the week, we were told to turn off our air conditioner. A few days later, the issue returned. Maintenance came and said it wasn’t the AC but the pipes, which they would fix after our departure. At night, the water started pouring down like a waterfall. The administrator came, offered us another room, and promised a technician would come in the morning. We don’t really have complaints, since such building and system issues can happen anywhere — we were just unlucky. Considering the staff’s attentiveness and promptness, we believe the problem will be resolved quickly.
A good hotel located near the train station. There are cafés, shops, and a bakery nearby. It’s convenient to walk to the city center and the riverside. The photos on the website match reality. Check-in is easy, with online registration available. The staff is polite, and the reception is open 24/7. The room has everything you need (kettle, hairdryer, TV, internet), and daily housekeeping is provided. We had to stay in the city longer for personal reasons. We extended our reservation at this hotel.

United KingdomI particularly disliked the fact that I was charged some tourist fee at the reception: it was just a few euros but I do not remember being informed about that any time while booking the room. It's especially strange that I did not have to pay anything like that in other German cities during this holiday of mine. Also, Frankfurt does not strike me as a real tourist attraction, so I wasn't sure what I was paying for. The fridge seemed to be working but it produced cold that was probably just a few degrees lower than room temperature - what's the point?
The location was convenient for a very early train I needed to take, although normally I wouldn't choose a place so close to the sketchy area that is normally to be found around any big train station. I loved the room and the view; it was also enough fresh air from the big windows that actually opened full-swing without any stupid restrictors (which is very typical for the UK). The room service did a good job of cleaning up while I was exploring the city. The receptionist was quick to check in and quite friendly. The furniture and furnishings were quite tired if not outright threadbare; however, I did not mind as everything was functional and had some character, which is often lost with modern ikea-style designs. What I also liked was enough of lighting options and decent curtains that protected from the sunlight. Some people might dislike the transparent shower cabin but I actually loved it: doesn't feel claustrophobic and industrially sterile.

RussiaThe lights were a bit odd: there wasn't a big light (or it didn't work). The design was a bit... odd: you could see the shower cabin from the bed (lack of privacy). The windows didn't really save from the noise from the outside.
The location is very good, close to the city centre and main train station. The place itself is very clean, the beds are comfy, the check-in was fast, the price-quality ratio was exceptional! AC worked perfectly as well.

GermanyThe glass showers are designed so that they open directly into the room. As a single traveller this isn't a problem for me, but might be something to consider if you're travelling with someone else.
Air conditioning, large rooms, fridge in room. The front desk staff are always very attentive, which is something that really sets this hotel apart from others in the same area.

United StatesThe area that the hotel is located in is around the Hbf area which is known to be sketchy with many drug users and stranger characters looming around. During the day, it's absolutely fine, in the evening it's not perfectly safe to walk around on your own. The hotel could improve its hygiene a little. Overall I did like my stay there.
The location is unbeatable, just steps away from the main station. The room is a nice size for the money that you spend on it. There is also a kettle in your room that you can make your own tea with, which I really value. They gave me an insane amount of fresh towels which I love.

NetherlandsThe facility was very poor and old dated, the room was very small, there was no coverage for bath if you want to take a shower your roommate is literally seeing you. The area is full of homeless people so not really safe to park around with foreign license plate. You have to pay an additional fee for park in parking of hotel.
The location was reachable, the room was clean, the price was very affordable

SloveniaThe immediate surroundings of the hotel can feel a bit uncomfortable, especially when walking past certain areas. There were quite a few homeless people, people using drugs.. The first time we walked by, it felt a bit strange, but after that, we simply chose to walk on the other side of the street and had no further issues.
I stayed at this hotel during my visit to Frankfurt and overall had a good experience. The room was spacious enough, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the fridge in the room wasn't working, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, the glass shower wall is completely transparent — not ideal if you're not traveling alone. However, this could easily be solved by adding a simple curtain for more privacy. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location is great — just a 5-minute walk from the main train station. With a few small improvements, this place could be even better!

price is very fair (70 eur / 2 nights) the main railway station is about three minutes by foot. staff guys were friendly and helpful. there was kettle and a bit tea/coffee stuff in room. surprisingly even for that price they make room service. also wifi was not bad.

BelgiumThe location, although this has some positives as well because everything is within walking distance. The major issue is that Frankfurt has a massive drug problem and most of these drug users are located near and around the train station. Being there with your family and a kid just doesn’t give you a secure feeling.
The hotel staff was really kind and helpful. We had a spacious room and the hotel is only a few hundred meters from the train station.
