Very nice spacious Apartment with all facilities. The owners were very helpful and kind hearted. They have a huge garden and a play area for kids. Bus stops are nearby. We enjoyed our stay though it is short.

    Property response:

Dear Family Thank You for coming and all the best for you Best regards Helga

Wow this was a gorgeous house, it was all stone so it was super cold which worked out for the hot hot days in Salzburg. Great for big groups or a family. The house is literally right next to a canal which is kind of magical. Host met us when we came in and at check out, very friendly. It was a welcome stay after days of smaller apartments in big cities.

The bus stop is 10 minutes walk, and not exactly the most convenient since it only comes twice an hour and then once an hour after 7 pm. So if you're planning to tour Salzburg, just keep that in mind.

Very clean, bright and large property, in a great location. Very easy to catch the bus into Salzburg. Loved the balcony with a view of the sheep!

We liked the whole rustic set up, with bits and pieces of the original house complemented with modern amenities. The apartment is very spacious and the host is super friendly. The surrounding green space, running canal/stream adds to the character and attraction of the apartment.

Lovely location close to Salzburg. The property is beautiful and very old - going back to medieval times. There is plenty of space and the bedrooms are very comfortable with bathroom for each bedroom. There is a nice outdoor eating space as well with a view over the river.

    Nothing to criticise

Most comfortable beds of the 5 different places we booked on our trip. Apartment was huge and spacious. Owner was great, met us at the property. Parking was easiest we encountered as well. Grateful for a washing machine and drying rack. Easy to public transit to Salzburg… we had to buy tickets from driver. We did go into downtown Freilassing on a Saturday evening and were surprised so little restaurants were open. (Might have been the time of year) but there was a fantastic cafe bakery open Sunday morning.

Helda was nice and very welcome. The place was quiet and with beautiful scenery.

The heater takes long time to be heated.

Beautiful peaceful location. Big apartment. Helga was very friendly and helpful. Local bus to Salzburg. Used a Salzburg card for all the places of interest and included the buses.

    A microwave would be good.

This place is 800 meters away from Austrian border. Our goal was to use this as our base to visit Salzburg from Germany. Since we had a car, it was an easy drive into Salzburg. I originally thought we wouldn't be able to drive our car over the border (Avis told us we would have to pay extra to do this, and I read somewhere you would need a vignette sticker for your windshield to drive in Austria) so we planned to take the train or bus in, but our host explained those rules only applied on the highways and we would not be needing to take a highway from this apartment. We did have trouble figuring out if we were in the right place upon arrival, as I think we arrived a little early. But since our phones were on airplane mode there was no way to call them. Once they figured out we were here, they were very nice.

I also mainly booked this property knowing there was a washing machine. But since there is not a dryer, this plan did not work out as well as I'd hoped. The apartment was a bit cold (end of March), we turned all the heaters up as high as they would go, but the air was not drying our clothes very fast. Some of the clothes dried overnight but I ended up putting some damp items back into our suitcases. We went to the grocery store to buy some breakfast items, but then the toaster did not work. We tried it several times in various outlets. The beds in one room were more comfortable than the other room. I wished there were extra pillows available (4 total) and did not feel the kitchen was stocked well enough--only one pot, one pan, no spatula, so don't plan to make an elaborate meal here. And the shower did not have a curtain. Not too much of a big deal, but water splattered pretty far and the toilet was facing directly in front of the shower so the person using the toilet is watching the person in the shower and vv.
