They didn’t have enough equipment for cleaning the dishes, the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable and the WiFi was also very bad.

The balcony was amazing and also the location close to the National Park was great ! I love the small kitchen because it allowed me to cook my meals to take to the park.

I didn't know that it was like 3 km up hill from Bad Schandau. If i knew that before i did not booked it, because i was with my bike. If you are with a car then it is okay. But when i was there, everything was perfect

The location in Ostrau is the best for hiking. Of. all villages, it has the easiest walking access to the national park. Breakfast is great. Also, the family who run the hotel are the most wonderful people ever.

There are no curtains to darken the room. Could hear the neighbour snoring. There were roadworks on the main road to Ostrau, we had to take a steep backroad which was not very clearly marked and not accessible for all vehicles. Would have been convenient to know in advance; it cost us half an hour to figure out how to get there

Just be aware that it's a healthy (and steep) walk into town. And the buses only run every hour or so. But with some patience, you can get everywhere you need

There was nothing that we didn’t like here! Do keep in mind that this hotel is not in the actual village of Bad Schandau. That is about a 25 minute walk from here. We knew that going in, and we loved being surrounded by the unparalleled scenic beauty of the area.

This hotel is in a beautiful area. It’s very quiet and peaceful, and the scenic beauty is beyond compare. The hotel is run by a family, and everyone we encountered was very kind and accommodating! My dad and I stayed in one of the apartment-style hotel rooms, and it was very spacious and cozy. We almost felt like we were guests in someone’s house. If you want to spend time in the actual village of Bad Schandau, it is about a nine-minute drive or a 25-minute walk from here. This hotel is perfect for access to hiking trails, and taking in all the world-class scenic beauty of the area- even from the windows of your hotel room! This little corner of Germany is so quiet and peaceful, you will almost surely get a good night’s sleep here!

The Wi-Fi in my room was so bad. There is no signal there and it’s unfortunate to rely on spotty Wi-Fi. Also make sure to ask reception for the „Guest-Pass“, which allows you to take the bus and Kirnitzschtalbahn for free because they might not give it to you automatically.

Beautifully located next to Schrammstein and Falkenstein. One only needs to walk to the hiking spots. You can also walk to the Personenaufzug and the Kirnitzschtalbahn which takes you to other hiking spots. Also the staff was really kind and were so helpful. Breakfast was amazing with freshly made coffee and they even had a juice presser!
