The singl rooms are facing the main road so a little noisy when the windows are open (as I had veyr alte nights that didnt botehr me as no traffic. Would have been nice to hae small fan in roomas the weather was very warm

I usually wake late and never eat breakfast ! The owner organised an iron and ironing board for me as I pre-requested and the single room was adequate for my three night stay (asked for extra pillow and got it staraighatway) The shower and bathroom were small but clean and functional - - the bed large single was super comfy.. No complaits at all / and the pub they have below the rooms didnt botehr me at all! It was a lively place to have a beer and a snack from 5pm onwards and open Sat from 11am )closed Sunday) very local and great beer

Location is good. In front of the hotel, there is a tram stop goes to the central station. Stuff was nice, there is no check dest. The lady who serves breakfast, was so nice and friendly. Good for short time staying!

Due to the humid summer weather and there not being air conditioning, room was a bit warm (also being on the third floor). Air conditioning isn’t all that common in Europe compared to North America. There was a large window in the bedroom as well as in the bathroom.

Clean, comfortable, good space for 1 person, would have been roomy with 2 people as well. Had a charming B&B vibe. Large bathroom, desk, good natural light. Relatively central, walkable to train station (15-20 mins), little grocery store at the end of the block, pub in bottom of hotel, there was transport to downtown Essen outside on the street as well. I was woken once the tram service started but that isn’t really the hotels fault.

I was allowed to leave my luggage and have the key even though it was long before check in time, breakfast in the morning was great and the room has everything you need. Staff were very friendly and welcoming too

Because of the pub, which seems to be quite popular, there was a bit loud in the evening.

Nice place relatively close to Essen Messe, right next to a supermarket and other facilities. There is a very cozy bar right below the hotel. The hosts were very friendly and nice.

Great breakfast and extremely friendly staff. The stay was pleasant and enjoyable. Hotel Fabritz is very conveniently located close to the centre of the city.

Very nice staff! Very quiet place and neighbourhood. To get to the hotel needs only a few bus or tram stops from the main station. The room was very spacious, the same as bathroom. Cleaning service, refreshed room, clean bedsheets and towels noticed every day! :) Grocery store and bakery next to hotel. They also have a restaurant, but we had no chance to try it.

Simple room but exactly what I needed. Stayed on a Sunday after football at Veltins Arena. Shutter on the window served as a black out blind and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding and the lady serving was lovely!

On the first floor there is bar and it was very loud... the music went till 4 Am in the Morning, I could here every bit and people singing and shouting... I almost could not sleep and there is no reception, so I could not really complain or ask for help.

Around 2am and for the next few hours the room filled with the smell of strong cigarette smoke. Even with the window open it stunk so bad and made it hard to sleep. I am presuming it came from the bar below

I do not recommend this accommodation. very old rooms without facilities and cleanliness is insufficient. below there is a beer bar that until 3 in the morning was very noisy and I couldn't sleep. in general this accommodation is not even worth 20 euros
