Smart, traditional hotel, with good restaurant and excellent breakfast. Lovely riverside location. Staff were extremely helpful with check-in (I arrived quite late in the evening) and friendly to talk to. The hotel had a good, friendly atmosphere. It is an easy stroll to Pirna town centre, station etc, but if you are arriving at the station with luggage a taxi is a better option.

We are an older couple and it was difficult getting our luggage to our room which was up steep steps and on the top floor.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was well priced for a great selection of delicious options.

The breakfast was very not very good, compared to other places. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and that was not very good either.

The second day of our time there we can not park on the hotel parking place. Two cars one VAN and one normal car parked wrongly and no more cars fit in.

Maybe a bit too far from Pirna train station (half an hour walk), and no amenities like fridge or kettle, but you already know it from the description. One problem was, we were there in late December, and the river level was high due to rains, so we had to walk around on the hilltop, because the direct path was blocked by the flood on the street. But surely it's not the hotel's fault, just something to consider when planning.

Nice clean room, nice breakfast (maybe not exceptional, but what did you expect?), nice choice of traditional meals, beer, and wine in the hotel restaurant, which serves 5-10 pm (kitchen closes at 9 pm).

The main disadvantage is that it's hard to reach the hotel by public transport. The ferry was only operating until around 5 p.m. on Saturday, so later that evening we had to walk for around 30 min one way to reach the city center. Also our room was just above the entrance, were people were smoking until very late and when we were opening the window, smoke was coming inside the room.

Everything in the hotel was great! Beautiful views, clean and quiet room, excellent breakfast.

A bit pricey for a small room

Nice hotel right on the Elbe. Restaurant is superb. We really appreciated a kettle in the room.

Parking was very tight and not a lot of spaces. The bedroom wide window was awkward to open and get out of bed at the same time.

Right on the Elbe river- view from our room.Close enough 20min to go to the Bastion Rock bridge. The little cafe across the street for drinks was right on the river very scenic..

Perfect locsmoky beer.ation, even I could park with my car. I took the dinner (snack) on the terasse and they served a nice grilled chicken and smoky beer. The view on the terasse is amasing on the river...

Room was small, cold and a little dated. Breakfast was basic - the breakfast room and the buffet were far apart.

Nice location right next to the river Elbe. Nice pleasant staff. Good evening meal food.

The facility is located on the river bank, with a very good view from the room. The staff speaks English and is friendly. The room was clean and well equipped. We also included breakfast which was varied and delicious. The hotel also has a restaurant where you can have dinner. There is a parking lot right in front of the hotel where we left our car.

NIT PICKING HERE SOME OF THE STAFFS ENGLISH WASN'T PERFECT BUT AS I'M WORKING ON MY GERMAN THAT WAS PART OF THE FUN THE MAN I HIRED THE BIKE OF WHOM I THINK WAS THE OWNER OR MANAGER SPOKE ENGLISH PERFECTLY & WHY SHOULD FOLK SPEAK ENGLISH ANYHOW LOL

IT WAS A LOVELY HOTEL VERY QAINT ATMOSPHERIC PLACE BUT IN OTHER WAYS MODERN & WHOLESOME I ACTUALLY BOOKED IT IN THE WRONG LOCATION AS I WAS AFTER STAYING IN THE CENTRE OF PIRNA BUT HAVE NO COMPLAINTS EVEN THOUGH IT'S A BIT OF A TRECK TO THERE AS IT WAS SUCH A GOOD FIND I HIRED AN E-BIKE FROM THERE & RODE TO BASTAI BRIDGE MOSTLY ALONG THE BANK OF THE ELBE BREAKFAST & MY ROOM WERE LOVELY & ALL THE STAFF WERE WONDERFULL "COULDN'T FAULT IT"!!!
