Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Quilts with no lighter options. We had to ask for a top sheet on a warm night with no fan or air conditioning. Staff were confused but accommodating once they understood.
Very kind and helpful. Fantastic breakfast. America can certainly learn from the Germans! Thank you!

It isn’t the fault of the hotel but in addition to views of the cathedral most of our view was a construction site. I didn’t really notice a noise problem though.
The location was great, right next to the cathedral and our room had views of the cathedral even. It was a large comfortable room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were even allowed to check in a bit early.

Construction of apartments and hotel ongoing, noisy and will likely be going on for at least 2 years. No airconditioning in rooms
Location is excellent, meters away from the Cologne Cathedral. Rooms were large and comfortable.

It was very hot and there was no air conditioning. No mini fridge in room. Construction noise was accentuated due to need to open windows for ventilation.
Great location, very friendly staff. Restaurant and bar connected was very good.

The location was very noisy for my wife who is a light sleeper. The noise from the Früh Beer House below was the main problem. Also the noise from the construction going on across the road began in earnest just before 6.30am on Saturday morning.
Loved the location so close to the Main Station and Cathedral, the large room, very clean, very friendly and helpful staff.

There's construction work next to the hotel & the AC system was under maintenance so the windows couldn't be closed because the room would be unbearably hot, having the windows open There's too much noise from the building site.

It is a beautiful hotel 5 minutes from the Dom. The staff was very nice and breakfast was excellent. Restaurants are nearby and the river is just down the street. It was a very enjoyabale stay.

Building work outside the hotel made it rather noisy from early morning.
A modern hotel with views of Cologne cathedral. Our room was spacious & breakfasts were very good. The location near the station was an added bonus. Free tea/coffee machine in reception was very welcome.

Hotel may please be a bit generous in providing FREE OF COST at least 2 bottles of water ; since almost a decade, Germany gets really hot in June. ANd, as an Indian we need plenty of water. or for that matter liquid including beer / fruit juices.
The location is very very convenient in all aspects -- the train station for commuting; there are plenty restaurants and eateries to enjoy the food & beer ; Breakfast in the hotel was excellent.
