Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomArriving at 4am we weren’t able to check in what was bizarre due to a system update . So we had to wait a further 45 mins after a 3 hour flight delay!! Didn’t like the additional cost for a family of 5 was going to be €24 euro per person per night for breakfast which is ridiculous for continental breakfast , these were three teenagers who would have had a couple of croissants . So we ended up eating out of the hotel as that is just simply not good value for a family stay . The garage parking cost was a bit expensive also. The other annoying thing was that all the British TV channels audio was broken ? Yet all other channels were fine . We could watch BBC News 24 to our hearts content though…
Brilliant location , rooms were great and good quality fixings and finish.

United StatesWiFi was not secure and it seemed as if someone was hacking the emails while typing messages. Otherwise, it worked fine. Lock on the hotel room door was difficult to open, but the staff is in the process of replacing the locks.
Breakfast was excellent as well as the service throughout the hotel. Location was convenient and the hotel garage convenient. The natural history museum was next to the hotel and worth the visit. The room was large & comfortable with a desk and chairs. View was interesting of the main street but one did not hear traffic noise. Elevators were convenient and always seemed available. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Had adjoining family/apt rooms, perfect for a large family. Kitchens are well equipped and the air conditioning worked well on a hot day.

SwitzerlandBreakfast options could be better. The rooms are long due for an over-haul - stained 80's carpets and blackout curtains that just aren't wide enough to block out the sun in the morning leaves you wanting more for an overly priced hotel.
It's an ideal location when traveling for meetings at the WCCB. A quick and pleasant walk from both the centre and the conference venues. Probably the only place where the mini-fridge includes 2 free beers...every day.

NetherlandsWhen we first checked in, we were given a room with a broken air conditioner. It was pretty warm outside, so staying there wasn’t really an option. We were moved to another room, and the staff promised that a bed for our kid would be set up soon. We went out for a walk, but when we came back three hours later, the bed still wasn’t ready. The main bed also had this solid wall at the foot of it that blocked the airflow from the AC, so the room felt stuffy at night. Breakfast was just okay—nothing special. Everything was pretty average, and a few things were honestly a bit disappointing.
The room is spacious and quiet, though the decor feels a bit dated. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Koenig Museum, which is a nice bonus if you're traveling with kids. The highlight of the stay is definitely St.Ribs, the on-site restaurant — the food is excellent and stands out as the best part of the experience.

GermanyThe breakfast room is small and hence feels crowded with tables, however the sunshine and open glass compensates.
The room was spacious and impeccably clean. The staff were extremely cooperative, making our stay pleasant. The location is highly convenient, just a few U-Bahn stops from the Hauptbahnhof. The availability of a kitchenette, refrigerator, and microwave was particularly helpful for us. Overall, the ambience exudes a very positive vibe. The breakfast room, bathed in plenty of sunshine, is charming and inviting. The food at breakfast is exceptionally fresh and much more flavorful than at most other hotels in Bonn.

NetherlandsSound isolation could be better. The tap water was warm if you opened only the cold faucet and extremely hot if you opened the hot one. Parking for 20 eur per night is a bit too expensive.
Room was very clean, spacious and it even had a small kitchen, something I've never seen before. Plenty of spots in the parking garage, easy access. Good location, downtown on foot 20 minutes, Rhein is 5 minutes.

United KingdomThe kitchen was so tiny that even washing a plate was a challenge. I cannot imagine doing actual cooking there - although basic utensils (e.g. pots) and a hot plate are provided.
I loved the location - very close to the river, so ideal for having a morning walk into the city center (where I was working), or for going on a run along the river. I had a large room with a mini kitchen - I found the cutlery and crockery, and especially the fridge, most convenient for having meals and storing groceries. The staff was helpful when I had an injury on a run, providing bandaids and disinfectant.

GermanyThe rooms are spacious and very clean providing one kitchenette with all necessary utensils, a bathroom with a bathtub, a living and dining room. The location is ideal for going for a walk, visiting museums or running in Bonn. There is a restaurant on the ground floor and the food was very good. They claim to have the best ribs in town and did not dissappoint.

GermanyNothing to complain (maybe longer bar hourrs).
We loved the garden room with its little covered terrace. It´s just so marvelous that they have an original piece of the Berlin Wall on display in their garden. You feel the history of the place! Breakfast was really nice - great selection of fresh and organic food. Super coffeemaker liked the smoothie maker as well

AzerbaijanI quite liked the rule of once a week housekeeping but I believe it would be good if the garbage was taken out at least twice a week and a spare set of towels was provided.
We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times before. It’s very comfortable and at a great location. The room has a separate sleeping and sitting area with a sofa, coffee table and a desk. A spacious wadrobe and a comfortable bathroom. The little kitchenette is is equipped with everything including a Nespresso machine. This time we even got a little welcome basket with some food to cook (spaghetti, noodles, jam, chopped potatoes in a jar). I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

GermanyThe bed was too soft for sleeping. Maybe it's a personal choice, so can't hold it against the hotel management. Another aspect was that the hotel hadn't provided an additional cot, even when I had booked an apartment with triple occupancy. They arranged for the cot within an hour after I reminded. So no major complaints.
I booked two rooms- both were spacious and had amenities as expected. I particularly liked the unique ambience.
