Very average accommodation and you get what you pay for. Management needs to explain clearly (current description and instructions on sight are insufficient) where the key box is. Guests at arrival have to ask other guests to find the key box.

Check in system very difficult especially if You have no internet- and the internet at the inn terrible and we were even unable to open the link to give us the instructions about the accommodation- we had to have a German friend call to help us It is a fair walk into town especially in torrential rain and there were no umbrella and no restaurants close by which is a problem as there is no food option but breakfast This is compounded by the lack of a mini bar and no supply of ice to have cold drinks Rooms did not have a safe There is no air conditioning nor fans

Hotel is understaffed. Only one person responsible for the whole breakfast buffet. No reception.

Very spacious private bathroom and comfortable bedroom. Close to the lake and away from traffic noise. Breakfast can be eaten in the conservatory, which has great views onto the lake and hills.

The check-in instructions were sent in German only and were confusing to me. When I contacted the property I got automated messages. Luckily, some other guest helped. Also, kitchen personnel (who served breakfast) could be a little more friendly.

Instructions for arrival with code for access very complex and initially I went to the wrong building (the apartments rather then the hotel). Additionally, photos misleading. There are new updated rooms but mine was very old with a dated bathroom.

Very helpful staff who helped me enter the building and subsequently advised on travel possibilities during the weekend of rail strikes.Excellent breakfast.

Despite of clean and spotless WC, bedsheets were not clean. It seemed that they were used or not washed well.

wifi is very weak and not always usable no air conditioning, no ventilation, we had to let the single window open without mosquito net! There was a drink automat outside the building, it was out of order during the whole stay. no safe in the room or building. Bathroom shower uncomfortable and very old. Tv sometimes not connected.

I had a really pleasant stay here. The hotel is in a stunning location right next to the lake – peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing break. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It’s a self-check-in setup with no staff on-site, but the process was straightforward and hassle-free. Everything was clearly explained and easy to follow. Overall, a really nice place to stay, especially if you’re after a bit of peace and quiet. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

The barely warm water on Sunday was a bit surprising, but maybe i didn't know the traditions 😅

The Maximilian hotel is located in a picturesque, very touristic but cosy and quiet area. The room was vith a mountain view. The room service and "what-you can eat-breakfast" were perfect and amazing!

Very complicated and unreasonable online self-check-in service. After entering payment and personal details once on the booking platform I had to do it twice more to receive an online number to access a key box for the room key. When it first didn’t work I tried to ring the for me expensive number due to data roaming only to hear voice messages that currently nobody was available and to ring back later. Very disappointing! Eventually the online check-in with more data roaming use worked thanks to the help of other guests who had the same issues. In the bathroom there was a broken glass and a broken shower handle on the floor. We paid for the “kur tax” but did not receive the “kurkarte” on our arrival as we should, because obviously the hotel reception is not serviced. I had to specifically ask the breakfast lady the next morning (the first and only staff member seen in this hotel) who then handed out the card. Meanwhile I received numerous emails about checking in and checking out which was quite annoying during our short stay. We would definitely not book here again.

Perfect location (short and easy walk to the lake and center of town), spacious room (#2 Romantic) with a balcony and lovely view of the lake and mountains. Breakfast was sumptuous which we could take in the glass-walled terrace 🤗 Loved the pond🤗

Very nice continental breakfast. Convenient location for going into mountains, sightseeing and going to Austria or Munich. Nice clean spacious rooms.
