Dear Beltran, thank you for visiting the famous Lutherstadt Wittenberg in Germany and your stay with us. We, the hotel Cranach-Herberge consits of two separate parts, our hotel part, with stylish and fancy rooms in the main builiing and the hostel part with simple <monk style> accomodation and shared bathroom in the east wing. The hostel part provides very reasonable accomodation with some hotel services (hotel breakfast, towels,, housekeeping service) at the most central locotion within the famous and original house of the painters family of Lucas Cranach. You had choosen a monk room in the hostel part. And part of the building ist the more than 500 years old tower with its spiral staircase inside, which is a highlight and sight in itself. But, of course in a living musuem and memorial with a more then 500 years old history, moern anemities like lift etc. are not part of the hotel. We hope for your understanding.
