How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The pillows weren't very comfortable. They looked like they would be comfortable, but they were mostly air. As soon as you lay on them they go flat. No matter how much you bunch them up they still go flat.
Breakfast was delicious. There was a great variety. The room was very comfortable. The rain shower head helped make the shower feel like a spa. Everything was clean. There is someone at the main desk 24/7 which is nice in case you need anything.

It was a bit hard to find the entrance, but it also made this place more quiet and nice to stay in. There wasn't a storage room to keep our luggage between out checkout and our flight, but the stuff were really nice, and found a spot for it in front of the reception and kept their eye on it. The safe in the room was broken.
quiet, and comfortable. Has a small mini-fridge. and not far from a station. The breakfasts were really good, and really good for the price too! a pretty nice and quiet street to stay at! and had a few available places to get food from that were opened even in the middle of the night.

two separate matraces in one bed to make a double - a bit uncomfortable.
Location was good, easy to get to wherever we needed. Food around was also good. Room was great, with glass roof in the bathroom - pretty cool. It was clean.

A bit tricky to find as premises not on the street but set back thru a walkway. Once found, all good.
Booked late on our road trip thru the area and was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, very helpful staff at check in and good facilities. We used parking which was secure.

Getting in and out of the garage takes some skill and the available parking spots are not suitable for big cars.
A very decent affordable business hotel with a parking garage providing reasonable rooms and a decent breakfast. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The Night crowd a block away was my own complaint other than our trip was rainy the entire time and I didn’t prepare better for that.
Parking fit my Jeep Wrangler 4 door enclosed in their parking garage. Close to the park, since our dog traveled with us. Close to public transportation. Great Italian restaurant next door. Outstanding European breakfast! Super friendly and above average staff!

It's a great hotel. I almost didn't want to write a review because if everyone knows about it, when I next need it, there may no longer be availability. They have some really nice touches. At breakfast, they ask if you want a fried egg or scrambled egg and if you want a hot drink, then they go and make it fresh for you. The room I had was also very nice, and the shower worked very well. I really liked it. It was spacious and the beds and linen comfortable. It's a short walk from the station too. The area is not the best, but it's safe. The entry to the hotel is well lit.

The room was hot, but they provided a fan. The bathroom door doesn’t lock
The location is nice, close to the s-bahn station. The room was clean and had a minibar. The staff is nice. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby

I went to drop my bag at morning. They checked quick if the room would have be cleaned up. Unfortunately it had not, but they let me check in and gave me a card key. I came the hotel around 23 in the night, and my bag stood in my room.

Perfect place, in a very quiet and comfortable corner in Holstenstrasse just a few minutes walk from Hamburg centre and with train just 3 mins walk. Beautiful and clean rooms, great breakfast and very friendly staff. Absolutely recommended for a short or medium stay, with very competitive prices.
