Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomExcellent location for airport. Easy check in, extremely helpful friendly staff. Lovely room, comfy bed. Exceptional breakfast spread. Added bonus of a waiting area where you can have tea or coffee and relax until you need to leave for the airport, which was a lovely touch

ItalyI've really appreciated my stay at this lovely and peaceful hotel which is well connected to Basel through an efficient bus transportation. The owners and the staff are super kind and very welcoming. I had a modern, bright double room with balcony and a comfortable bathroom. The breakfast is also delicious. Everything is curated and invites you to come back again!

This is the place to stay if you are visiting Basel or if you are travelling through. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The room and all the facilities are excellent. Comfortable bed. There is a large choice of breakfast. We traveled along the Rhein and this is the most comfortable place we stayed in. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops but far away from any noise. Wonderful little garden where you can have the breakfast

AustraliaHard to find anything. On site restaurant closed on the weekend meant we had to go out after a long day in the car, but our host found us a great restaurant an easy walk from the hotel so it was not a problem.
We booked the hotel for one night to be near a local attraction. The hotel is in a quiet location with excellent facilites and a very helpful and accommodating host. Bed and pillow were comfortable, room was modern and clean and breakfast was very good with freshly cooked hot foods on request. Free parking on site made it very easy. Our host sourced and booked a restaurant for dinner and provided much appreciated advice on parking at our museum destination.

ItalyAt the hotel everything was perfect; regarding the stay: other than the Vitra Campus, Weil am Rhein is a rather small town where non-German-speaking travellers are rare. Be prepared to struggle a little bit with signs and restaurant menus; people are kind.
The atmosphere of a family-owned hotel with state-of-the-art comfort and environmental consciousness. Rooms are so pleasant, and the passive-house technology guarantees comfort without all negative aspects of mechanical air-conditioning. I was lucky to have a room with south-facing balcony, and the bonus of spectacular chill-out moments in the sunsets after a day in the museums and exhibitions at reach from Weil am Rhein. Breakfast may seem overpriced, but it is indeed good value for money considering the care and quality of the service.

NetherlandsThe toilet and bathroom are separated from the bedroom with a large panel of frosted glass, that is not to everyone's liking
Excellent hotel located in a quiet residential neighborhood, conveniently close to the motorway and a great place to stay for visitors to the Vitra museum. Stylishly decorated with a beautiful small courtyard garden, the rooms are large, modern and very well equipped. The hosts must have hospitality running through their veins, they will literally stop at nothing to please their customers. There was even a open bar where guests could get coffee, soft-drinks and beer for free. The breakfast buffet was not only plentiful, it was also exceptionally well presented.

SpainThere was nothing I didn’t like.
I couldn’t be happier with my stay. The owners and all staff were so kind, helpful and friendly. I appreciated how clean and well kept was the whole place and how peaceful it was there. I slept so well and felt very comfortable, which I appreciated after long days of exploring Art Basel. I would definitely come back again and recommend Go2bed hotel for anyone who likes to stay in a very quiet place and outside of the busyness of city. It was only 15 minutes away by taxi from the center of Basel.

United KingdomLet me start by saying this definitely is not what we want from a hotel . A better name for it would be JustGo2Bed . The check in person lays out the terms for a stay. There is a room for you and we don’t expect to be bother by you from now on. In the basement you can buy food and drinks from machines. In the room is a bed, a desk and a shower. If you want breakfast go back to the basement but pleas feel free to go . Here is a map of the few restaurants nearby and use it to find somewhere. We won’t see you in the morning as you can head straight off. We didn’t see anyone in the morning but we got an unasked for call at 0715 hrs from reception so like good robots went to the car and drove away. The high spot was going to a nearby Beer Garden , the food was very good the staff friendly and very attentive . Such a contrast to the hotel. But I say again i;m sure is fine for a drive in grab 6 hours sleep and head off back on a drive to somewhere else .
It’s modern and in the room everything worked

United KingdomIt was in a residential area with few amenities. A 25 minute walk through a field and down the side of railway tracks to the Vitra. Around a 35 minute walk to the Fondation Beyeler. It was so out of the way that I couldn’t get Uber to come. I only saw one other person while staying there and that was the GM who was helpful. I ended up leaving the hotel a day early and moving to a more central location. No air con in the room. They had some sort of centrally controlled cool air system but my room was hotter than I wanted (it was about 25/26 degrees outside). No tea making facility in the room. I was in Basel for the Art Fair and didn’t twig that this hotel being in just over the boarder in Germany fell out of the area to get the Basel Card which gives free travel and discounts at museums etc. If I’d realised this I would not have booked here
It was very clean and the bathroom/shower was modern and well maintained. The room was small but okay for one person. Hair dryer supplied and one small bottle of water
